What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A spreadable conditioning composition for use in personal care compositions comprising a blend of: a branched hydrocarbon and an ester having a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 100 centistokes. 
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein each of the branched hydrocarbon and the ester are independently vegetable-derived. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 2 , wherein each of the vegetable-derived branched hydrocarbon and the vegetable-derived ester are independently not derived from a palm oil. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the branched hydrocarbon has at least 3 branches on a main hydrocarbon chain. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 2 , wherein a main hydrocarbon chain of the branched hydrocarbon has 10 to 30 carbon atoms. 
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the branched hydrocarbon has a total of X carbon atoms and a main hydrocarbon chain having Y carbon atoms, when X is an integer of 13 to 50 and Y is an integer of 10 to 30 carbon atoms. 
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein X is 15 and Y is 12. 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the branched hydrocarbon is hydrogenated farnasane. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the branched hydrocarbon has a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 100 centistokes. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the ester has 15 to 30 total carbons. 
     
     
         11 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the ester is selected from those esters having 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 ester linkages. 
     
     
         12 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the ester is selected from glyceryl triesters of medium chain carboxylic acids, diesters of medium chain diacids with medium chain linear or branched alcohols, monoesters of medium chain carboxylic acids with medium chain alcohols and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         13 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the ester is selected from glyceryl triheptanoate, dicapryl succinate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         14 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the hydrocarbon is selected from a hydrocarbon having 15 to 20 carbon atoms in total and a main hydrocarbon chain of 12 carbon atoms, hydrogenated farnosene, and mixtures thereof; and the ester is selected from glyceryl triheptanoate, dicapryl succinate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         15 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the branched hydrocarbon is present in the composition in an amount of about 30% to about 80% by weight of the total composition. 
     
     
         16 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the branched hydrocarbon is present in the composition in an amount of about 40% to about 70% by weight of the total composition. 
     
     
         17 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the ester is present in the composition in an amount of about 20% to about 70% by weight of the total composition. 
     
     
         18 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the ester is present in the composition in an amount of about 30% to about 50% by weight of the total composition. 
     
     
         19 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein the branched hydrocarbon and the ester are present in a relative weight ratio (wt % hydrocarbon:wt % ester) selected from:
 about 2:about 3 
 about 1:about 2.5 
 about 1:about 1 and 
 about 2.5:about 1. 
 
     
     
         20 . The composition of  claim 1  exhibiting an average spreading velocity of about 4 to about 8. 
     
     
         21 . A spreadable conditioning composition consisting essentially of a blend of: a branched hydrocarbon and an ester having a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 100 centistokes. 
     
     
         22 . The composition of  claim 21  wherein the branched hydrocarbon is hydrogenated farnesene and the ester is selected from lyceryl triheptanoate, dicapryl succinate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         23 . A formulation containing any one of the compositions of  claim 1  and an additional ingredient selected from a surfactant, a colorant, a detersive agent, a mechanical sunscreen, a fragrance, a chealtor, an antioxidant, a UV absorbing compound, a particulate, a solvent, a cationic emulsifier, a nonionic emulsifier, an anionic emulsifier, and antimicrobial. 
     
     
         24 . A method of preparing a surface conditioning formulation comprising mixing the composition of  claim 1  with an additional ingredient selected from a surfactant, a colorant, a detersive agent, a mechanical sunscreen, a fragrance, a chealtor, an antioxidant, a UV absorbing compound, a particulate and a solvent. 
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 24 , wherein the formulation is natural. 
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 24 , wherein the formulation is natural and does not contain palm oil-derived ingredients. 
     
     
         27 . A method of preparing a composition having an average spreading velocity of about 4 to about 8 comprising blending a natural branched hydrocarbon with an natural ester having a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 100 centistokes. 
     
     
         28 . A method of increasing the spreadability of a conditioning agent comprising combining the conditioning agent with a branched hydrocarbon, wherein the conditioning agent is an ester having a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 100 centistokes. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 28  wherein the conditioning agent is selected from an ester selected from glyceryl triesters of medium chain carboxylic acids, diesters of medium chain acids with medium chain linear or branched alcohols, monoesters of medium chain carboxylic acids with medium chain alcohols and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 28  wherein the ester is selected from glyceryl triheptanoate, dicapryl succinate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         31 . A method of delivering a material to a surface comprising applying a formulation to the surface wherein the formulation comprises the composition of  claim 1  and an additional ingredient selected from a UV absorbing agent, a biologic, a patinator, an antimicrobial agent, an antioxidant, a mica, glitter, a pigment, an anti-rust agents, an anti-tarnish agent, a whitener, and a self-tanner. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 31  wherein the surface is a surface of skin, fur, hair, nails or hooves.
