Abstract

The current system is a method for easily attaching firearm devices to the end of a firearm. The system is used to improve the relative alignment between firearm devices and the bore of the firearm. The system solves the problem of non-uniformity when attaching devices to a firearm, by providing a uniform mounting surface. The system includes three main parts: a muzzle extender, a device, and a clamping method. The extender includes a threaded female receptor for attaching to the firearm muzzle and a clamping surface to be used with a clamping method to attach the device. The system has multiple embodiments including, built in muzzle devices, different clamping methods, and multiple devices to attach to the system.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A barrel attachment system comprising
a raised ring configured to be attached on a barrel of a firearm, the barrel having a threaded end,
the raised ring being located near the threaded end of the barrel
the raised ring having a plurality of notches
a device having a matching notch configured to align with one of the plurality of notches of the raised ring, an alignment pin configured to fit in any of the plurality of notches and the matching notch.

2 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , further comprising a crush washer configured to fit around the barrel and on the opposite side of the device as the gun barrel.

3 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , further comprising a muzzle device configured to couple to the threaded end of the barrel with the device between the raised ring and the muzzle device.

4 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , wherein the raised ring is structured to be integral to the gun barrel.

5 . The barrel attachment system of claim 3 , wherein the device is configured between the raised ring and the muzzle device, and the alignment pin is structured and configured to be positioned to allow for indexing at multiple points.

6 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , wherein device is configured between the raised ring and an extending mechanism, and the alignment pin is structured and configured to be removed to allow for continuous indexing.

7 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , further comprising a clamping nut that surrounds the end of the barrel.

8 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , wherein the alignment pin is permanently assembled into the device.

         9 . A barrel attachment system comprising
a clamping nut, the clamping nut configured to thread over a threaded end of a firearm, a first device configured to fit around the threaded end of the firearm,
the first device configured to couple to abut the clamping nut
   a second device
configured to thread onto the threaded end of the firearm barrel.

10 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , wherein the first device is a front sight.

11 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , wherein the second device is a muzzle device.

12 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , further comprising a crush washer fitting between the first device and the clamping nut.

13 . The barrel attachment system of claim 1 , further comprising an alignment pin.

         14 . A barrel attachment system comprising
a clamping nut, the clamping nut configured to thread over a threaded end of a firearm, a first device
configured to couple a second device,
   the second device
configured to thread onto the threaded end of the firearm barrel.

15 . The barrel attachment system of claim 14 , wherein the first device is a front sight.

16 . The barrel attachment system of claim 14 , wherein the second device is a muzzle brake.

17 . The barrel attachment system of claim 14 , further comprising a crush washer fitting between the first device and the clamping nut.

18 . The barrel attachment system of claim 14 , wherein an alignment pin is permanently coupled to the first device.

19 . The barrel attachment system of claim 18 , wherein the second device has a plurality of notches configured to mate to the alignment pin.

20 . The barrel attachment system of claim 14 , wherein the first device has a plurality of notches configured to mate to an alignment pin.
