A method of treating an enteric nervous system disorder in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject an effective dose of a compound comprising a phenothiazine group or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or metabolite thereof to the subject for over 7 days.

3 . A method of treating an enteric nervous system disorder in a subject in need thereof, comprising co-administering to the subject an effective dose of a compound comprising a phenothiazine group or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or metabolite thereof, and a dopamine decarboxylase inhibitor.
