Abstract
A liquid crystal display device with a pair of substrates which are arranged to face each other with liquid crystal therebetween, columnar spacers having the substantially equal height formed on a liquid-crystal-side surface of one substrate, and the columnar spacers include the columnar spacer which is contact with a liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate and the columnar spacer which is not contact with the liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A display device comprising:
a first substrate and a second substrate with a liquid crystal layer therebetween; a plurality of spacers disposed on the first substrate; a plurality of gate signal lines extending in a first direction and formed on the second substrate; and a plurality of drain signal lines formed on the second substrate; wherein at least one spacer among the plurality of spacers counters a stacked region where a semiconductor layer and a gate signal line among the plurality of gate signal lines overlap with each other, and at the stacked region, the semiconductor layer has a width in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction greater than a width of the corresponding gate signal line in the second direction.
2 . The display device according to claim 1 , wherein
the plurality of spacers counter the plurality of gate signal lines, respectively.
3 . The display device according to claim 1 , wherein
at the stacked region, a metal layer also overlaps with the semiconductor layer and the gate signal line.
4 . The display device according to claim 3 , wherein
at the stacked region, the width of the semiconductor layer in the second direction is small than a width of the metal layer in the second direction.
5 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3 , wherein
the semiconductor layer is stacked on the gate signal line, and the metal layer is stacked on the semiconductor layer.
6 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3 , wherein
the semiconductor layer is disposed between the gate signal line and the metal layer.
7 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein
at least a part of the semiconductor layer protrudes from the gate signal line in plan view.
8 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3 , wherein
at least a part of the metal layer protrudes from the semiconductor layer in plan view.
9 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of spacers are columnar spacers.
10 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein
a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are disposed on the second substrate.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
