Abstract

An additive elastomeric manufactured part having an elongation at break of at least 50% may be made by a method comprising the following. A material comprising a prepolymer and filler is first dispensed through a nozzle to form an extrudate deposited on a base. The base, nozzle or combination thereof is moved while dispensing the material so that there is horizontal displacement between the base and nozzle in a predetermined pattern to form an initial layer of the material on the base. Subsequent layers are then formed on the initial layer by repeating the dispensing and movement on top of the initial layer and layers that follow.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An additive manufactured article comprised of at least two layers of a plurality of material extrudates adhered together and is comprised of polyurethane and a filler, wherein the filler has a product of oil absorption number of at least 6,000.

2 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the article is elastomeric.

3 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the filler has a product of oil absorption number times iodine number of at least 6,000.

4 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the filler has a product of oil absorption number times iodine number of at least 7,000.

5 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the filler is comprised of a filler having an oil absorption number of at least 80 ccs/100 grams.

6 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of a cross-sectional shape of the additive manufactured article is a trapezoid.

7 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of a cross-sectional shape of the additive manufactured article is a polygon.

8 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the additive manufactured article exhibits a tensile elongation at break of at least 50%.

9 . The additive manufactured article of claim 1 , wherein the additive manufactured article exhibits a tensile elongation at break of at least 100%.
