Abstract

A system and method of interactive, location-based presentation and advertising that enables users with wireless network addressable communications devices to control multi-media content on network addressable screens and enables marketers to track, monitor and respond to users interactions in real time. A Proxy Gateway directs a network addressable client PC, connected to a digital display, to serve local content or pull content from one or more web servers. A wireless, network addressable device, typically a mobile phone, is used to communicate commands to the physically remote Proxy Gateway. The Proxy Gateway bridges between the communications device and the display by interpreting the commands from the communications device, forwarding them to the client PC which may pull content from the appropriate web server, or display native message content.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method of digital interactive marketing, comprising:
creating, at a first communication device, a first information request comprising a request for a particular view of a content on the first communication device, the first information request further comprising a mobile communication device identifier, and a first communication device display identifier; transmitting, from the first communication device, via a first communication channel, the first information request to a gateway communicably coupled between a web server and a wireless public land mobile communication network (PLMN) distinct from the Internet; transmitting, to the first communication device from the gateway, a first response communication, the first response communication providing content configured for the particular view and based at least in part on the first communication device display identifier; transmitting, to a second communication device, the first communication request; creating, at the second communication device, a second information request for a second particular view of the content on the second communication device, the second request further comprising the mobile communication device identifier, and a second communication device display identifier; transmitting, from the second communication device, the second information request to the gateway via a second communication channel distinct from the first communication channel; transmitting, to the second communication device from the gateway via the second communication channel, a second response communication, the second response communication providing content configured for a particular second communication device view and based at least in part on the second communication device display identifier; transmitting, from the second communication device to the gateway via the second communication channel, a transaction request, the transaction request based at least in part on the first communication request; and processing, at the web server, the transaction request by using the first information request and the mobile communication device identifier.

         2 . A method as defined in claim 1 , further comprising:
in association with the first information request, receiving information identifying an account; and storing, at the web server, the received account information; and wherein completing the transaction request comprises:
 accepting a purchase request; and
using the mobile communication device identifier and the stored account information to fund the purchase request.

3 . A method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the first information request is initiated by a device other than the second communication device.

4 . A method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the mobile communication device identifier comprises a telephone number.

5 . A method as defined in claim 1 , wherein receiving the first information request comprises receiving an indication of user-entered identifying information.

6 . A method according to claim 5 , wherein receiving the first response communication comprises providing a visual display configured for the particular view on the first communication device inviting the user to create the transaction request.

7 . A method as defined in claim 1 , wherein receiving first response communication comprises identifying content configured for the particular view in association with first information request comprises receiving an indication of user-entered identifying information.

8 . A method according to claim 7 , wherein receiving the second information request identifying the second communication device comprises providing a visual display on the second communication device inviting the user to complete the transaction request.

9 . A system of digital interactive marketing, comprising:
a first communication device, configured to generate a first information request comprising a request for a particular view of a content on the first communication device, the first information request further comprising a mobile communication device identifier, and a first communication device display identifier; a gateway communicably coupled between a web server and a wireless public land mobile communication network (PLMN) distinct from the Internet; the web server further configured to transmit to the first communication device via the gateway, a first response communication, the first response communication providing content configured for the particular view and based at least in part on the first communication device display identifier; the web server further configured to transmit to a second communication device, the first communication request; the second communication device configured to create a second information request for a second particular view of the content on the second communication device, the second request further comprising the mobile communication device identifier, and a second communication device display identifier; the gateway configured to transmit, from the second communication device, the second information request to via a second communication channel distinct from the first communication channel; the second communication device configured to transmit from the gateway via the second communication channel, a second response communication, the second response communication providing content configured for a particular second communication device view and based at least in part on the second communication device display identifier; from the second communication device configured to transmit to the gateway via the second communication channel, a transaction request, the transaction request based at least in part on the first communication request; and the web server configured to process, the transaction request by using the first information request and the mobile communication device identifier.

10 . A system as defined in claim 1 , wherein the web server is further comprised:
 to receive in association with the first information request, information identifying an account;   to store the received account information; and   to complete the transaction request based on accepting a purchase request;
using the mobile communication device identifier and the stored account information to fund the purchase request.

11 . A system as defined in claim 1 , wherein the first information request is initiated by a device other than the second communication device.

12 . A system as defined in claim 1 , wherein the mobile communication device identifier comprises a telephone number.

13 . A system as defined in claim 1 , wherein receiving the first information request comprises receiving an indication of user-entered identifying information.

14 . A system according to claim 13 , wherein receiving the first response communication comprises providing a visual display configured for the particular view on the first communication device inviting the user to create the transaction request.

15 . A system as defined in claim 1 , wherein receiving first response communication comprises identifying content configured for the particular view in association with first information request comprises receiving an indication of user-entered identifying information.

16 . A system according to claim 15 , wherein receiving the second information request identifying the second communication device comprises providing a visual display on the second communication device inviting the user to complete the transaction request.
