Abstract

Provided is a method for controlling a computer, etc., which makes it possible to improve the usability of city building games. The computer is provided with a storage unit configured to store game contents arranged within a game space, positions of the game contents, and a template defining positions of one or more of game contents, and progresses a game by arranging the game contents within the game space based on a command by a player. The method includes when the template is applied to a predetermined area within the game space based on the command by the player, moving, by the computer, the game contents arranged within the game space to the positions of the game contents defined by the template.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for controlling a computer, the method comprising:
executing a game by arranging, responsive to a game-content-arrangement command from a user, a plurality of game contents within a first game space to increase a number of the game contents that are arranged within the first game space, the game contents including at least game contents for defending from an attack from another player; creating, responsive to a template-creation command from the player, based on types and positions of the game contents arranged within the first game space, a template for defending an attack from another player, the template defining the game contents and respective positions of the game contents; displaying, responsive to an instruction for starting the game from the player, a first screen for progressing the game, the first screen comprising the first game space and a first button; displaying, responsive to the first button being selected by the player, a second screen for selecting a template, the second screen comprising a thumbnail corresponding to the created template; selecting, responsive to a template selection instruction from the player, a template corresponding to a certain thumbnail; fixing, responsive to a second button being selected by the user, the selected template; and arranging, responsive to a third button being selected by the player, game contents within a second game space different from the first game space based on respective positions of the game contents defined by the fixed template.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying, after selecting the template, a third screen comprising the second button,
wherein a number and a type of each of game contents included in the selected template are seen from the third screen.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting a first parameter for reproducing the created template to a server.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the server is configured to transmit, based on the first parameter, a second parameter for reproducing the created template at a terminal device different from the computer in which the template is created.

5 . The method of claim 1 , before the game contents whose positions are defined by the fixed template are arranged within the second game space, at least one game content has been already arranged within the second game space.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein upon arranging the game contents within the second game space, when a number of the game contents included in the fixed template is identical to a number of the game contents already arranged within the second game space, the game contents are arranged within the second game space at positions defined by the fixed template.

7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein upon arranging the game contents within the second game space, when at least part of the game contents already arranged within the second game space not included in the created template, the game contents not included in the created template are stored at a virtual warehouse.
