Abstract

A healthcare provider may access a healthcare provider portal to a health records management system. The health records management system may identify which vaccinations are covered by the employer's insurance. The healthcare provider may select vaccinations which the healthcare provide has in inventory. Employees may access a patient portal. The health records management system may verify for which vaccinations the patient is due. The employees select their desired vaccines. The health records management system may create appointments for the employees, and the healthcare provider may view the appointments and provide the desired vaccines to the employees.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system for creating a vaccination appointment, comprising:
 a processor; and a tangible, non-transitory memory configured to communicate with the processor, the tangible, non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
 querying, by the processor, a health insurance provider for covered vaccinations;
 querying, by the processor, a healthcare provider for vaccinations in an inventory of the healthcare provider;
 querying, by the processor, a health records data source for due vaccinations for a patient;
 identifying, by the processor, available vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are covered vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are in the inventory of the healthcare provider, and wherein the available vaccinations are due vaccinations for the patient; and
 presenting, by the processor, the available vaccinations to the patient.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:
 receiving, by the processor and from the patient, a selection of at least one of the available vaccinations; and creating, by the processor, the vaccination appointment for the patient with the healthcare provider.

         3 . The system of claim 2 , the operations further comprising creating, by the processor, an immunization clinic event for an employer, and wherein the vaccination appointment is part of the immunization clinic event.

         4 . The system of claim 3 , the operations further comprising generating, by the processor, a link to access the immunization clinic event.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider comprise a first subset of the covered vaccinations.

         6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the due vaccinations consist of a second subset of the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the health records data source comprises at least one of a state health record data source or a healthcare provider system.

         8 . A method for creating a vaccination appointment comprising:
 querying, by a computer system, a health insurance provider for covered vaccinations; querying, by the computer system, a healthcare provider for vaccinations in an inventory of the healthcare provider; querying, by the computer system, a health records data source for due vaccinations for a patient; identifying, by the computer system, available vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are covered vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are in the inventory of the healthcare provider, and wherein the available vaccinations are due vaccinations for the patient; and presenting, by the computer system, the available vaccinations to the patient.

         9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
 receiving, by the computer system and from the patient, a selection of at least one of the available vaccinations; and creating, by the computer system, the vaccination appointment for the patient with the healthcare provider.

         10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising creating, by the computer system, an immunization clinic event for an employer, wherein the vaccination appointment is part of the immunization clinic event.

         11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising generating, by the computer system, a link to access the immunization clinic event.

         12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider comprise a first subset of the covered vaccinations.

         13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the due vaccinations consist of a second subset of the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider.

         14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the health records data source comprises at least one of a state health record data source or a healthcare provider system.

         15 . An article of manufacture including a non-transitory, tangible computer readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by a computer, cause the computer to perform operations comprising:
 querying, by the computer, a health insurance provider for covered vaccinations; querying, by the computer, a healthcare provider for vaccinations in an inventory of the healthcare provider; querying, by the computer, a health records data source for due vaccinations for a patient; identifying, by the computer, available vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are covered vaccinations, wherein the available vaccinations are in the inventory of the healthcare provider, and wherein the available vaccinations are due vaccinations for the patient; and presenting, by the computer, the available vaccinations to the patient.

         16 . The article of manufacture of claim 15 , the operations further comprising:
 receiving, by the computer and from the patient, a selection of at least one of the available vaccinations; and creating, by the computer, a vaccination appointment for the patient with the healthcare provider.

         17 . The article of manufacture of claim 16 , the operations further comprising:
 creating, by the computer, an immunization clinic event for an employer; and generating, by the computer, a link to access the immunization clinic event.

         18 . The article of manufacture of claim 17 , wherein the vaccination appointment is part of the immunization clinic event.

         19 . The article of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider comprise a first subset of the covered vaccinations.

         20 . The article of manufacture of claim 19 , wherein the due vaccinations consist of a second subset of the vaccinations in the inventory of the healthcare provider.
