Abstract

An anaerobic digestion system may include a material grinding/pulping portion, a hydrolysis portion arranged downstream of the grinding portion, a multiple chamber anaerobic reactor arranged downstream from the hydrolysis portion and including a gas collection and reintroduction system, a collection system for collecting digestate and gas from the anaerobic reactor.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A waste processing system, comprising:
an input system comprising a feedstock input device and a liquid feeding system; a material grinding portion arranged downstream of the input system; a hydrolysis portion arranged downstream of the material grinding portion; an anaerobic reactor arranged downstream from the hydrolysis portion; a collection system for collecting digestate and gas from the anaerobic reactor; and a single-stage water treatment system arranged at least one of:
upstream of the liquid feeding system; and
 downstream of the collection system.

3 . The waste processing system of claim 2 , wherein the single-stage water treatment system is arranged downstream of the collection system and is configured to receive liquid digestate from the collection system and to separate the liquid digestate into a concentrate and a filtrate.

4 . The waste processing system of claim 3 , wherein the filtrate comprises at least one of irrigation water, cleaning water, and drinking water.

5 . The waste processing system of claim 2 , wherein the single-stage water treatment system is arranged upstream of the liquid feeding system and is configured to process waste water to produce a concentrate and a filtrate.

6 . The waste processing system of claim 5 , wherein the single-stage water treatment system is configured to feed the concentrate to the liquid feeding system.

7 . The waste processing system of claim 6 , wherein the filtrate comprises at least one of irrigation water, cleaning water, and drinking water.

8 . The waste processing system of claim 2 , wherein the feedstock input device feeds agricultural waste to the material grinding portion.

9 . The waste processing system of claim 8 , wherein the liquid feeding system feeds waste water to the material grinding portion.

10 . The waste processing system of claim 9 , wherein the single-stage water treatment system is arranged at least downstream of the collection system and the waste processing system produces gas for energy production, organic fertilizer, and clean water.

11 . The waste processing system of claim 10 , wherein the clean water is drinking water.

12 . The waste processing system of claim 10 , wherein the gas is suitable for energy production in a generator without first scrubbing the gas.
