Abstract

A communication system, in which a mobile terminal uses a data path generated with an ISP network by a base station in a home network to access a NW via the ISP network, includes an authentication means and connection control means in the ISP network. The base station accepts an access request from the mobile terminal and transmits information relating to the base station and the mobile terminal to the connection control means. The authentication means determines based on the information whether a linking service that connects to the home NW without traversing the ISP network can be provided to the mobile terminal, and if the linking service can be provided, notifies this information to the connection control means. Based on this notification, the connection control means requests the base station to generate a data path for providing the linking service, and the base station generates the data path.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for mobile terminal comprising:
 transmitting, to a control apparatus via a base station, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network, wherein the first message is forwarded, to the control apparatus by the base station, together with transmitting a second message, wherein the second message indicates a local access function co-located with the base station; and   receiving, from the base station, a third message for setup a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem, wherein the third message is based on a forth message requesting the base station set up the bearer after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the local access function enables the mobile terminal connected via the base station to access other IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except a base station subsystem. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the first message is attach request message or service request message. 
     
     
         4 . A method for base station comprising:
 transferring, from a mobile terminal to a control apparatus, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network together with transmitting a second message indicating a local access function co-located with the base station;   transmitting, to the mobile terminal, a third message for setup a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem based on a forth message, received from the control apparatus, requesting the base station set up a bearer after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.   
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 4 , wherein the local access function enables the mobile terminal connected via the base station to access other IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except a base station subsystem. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 4 , wherein the first message is attach request message or service request message. 
     
     
         7 . A method for control apparatus comprising:
 receiving, from a mobile terminal via base station, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network, wherein the first message is forwarded by the base station together with a second message transmitted from the base station, wherein the second message indicates a local access function co-located with the base station;   transmitting, to a base station, a forth message, received from the control apparatus, requesting the base station set up a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.   
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 7 , wherein the local access function enables the mobile terminal connected via the base station to access other IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except a base station subsystem. 
     
     
         9 . A mobile terminal comprising:
 a memory storing instructions; and   at least one hardware processor configured to process the instructions to: transmitting, to a control apparatus via a base station, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network, wherein the first message is forwarded, to the control apparatus by the base station, together with transmitting a second message, wherein the second message indicates a local access function co-located with the base station; and   receiving, from the base station, a third message for setup a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem, wherein the third message is based on a forth message requesting the base station set up the bearer after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.   
     
     
         10 . A base station comprising:
 a memory storing instructions; and   at least one hardware processor configured to process the instructions to:   transferring, from a mobile terminal to a control apparatus, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network together with transmitting a second message indicating a local access function co-located with the base station;   transmitting, to the mobile terminal, a third message for setup a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem based on a forth message, received from the control apparatus, requesting the base station set up a bearer after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.   
     
     
         11 . A control apparatus comprising:
 a memory storing instructions; and   at least one hardware processor configured to process the instructions to:   receiving, from a mobile terminal via base station, a first message requesting a connection to a IP capable node in a same residential/enterprise IP network, wherein the first message is forwarded by the base station together with a second message transmitted from the base station, wherein the second message indicates a local access function co-located with the base station;   transmitting, to a base station, a forth message, received from the control apparatus, requesting the base station set up a bearer for the connection without user plane traversing a mobile operator's network except the base station subsystem after authentication of local access between the mobile terminal and the IP capable node is performed by the control apparatus.
