System and Method for Mediating Representations With Respect to User Preferences
Abstract
A method for sharing information has an assertion associated therewith such that the receiving communication device is able to verify the assertion without the sender revealing underlying data demonstrating the validity of the assertion. The assertion is derived from underlying data input to a pre-provisioned first algorithm. The assertion is encapsulated in a first data object by a PGE that controls an environment in which the first algorithm is executed. A first proof is generated that is configured to verify that the first algorithm used the underlying data to produce the assertion when provided to a PVE along with the first data object. The underlying data is excluded from the first proof and the first data object such that privacy of the underlying data is maintained. The information, the first proof and the first data object are sent to the receiving communication device from the sending communication device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed in:
1 . A method for generating a representation of one or more Internet connected devices (ICDs) in a local wireless coverage environment, each of the ICDs being configured to receive content from one or more Internet content providers and to play the content in a physical environment, the representation being generated for rendering at a mobile device, the method being performed by a server located outside the local wireless coverage environment, the method comprising:
receiving a notification of the presence of each of the ICDs in the local wireless coverage environment; determining capabilities for each of the ICDs; receiving one or more user data feeds; determining content preference predictions by applying a machine learning algorithm to the user data feeds; generating a representation of the ICDs, the representation including (i) a list of the ICDs for control by a user of the mobile device, (ii) the capabilities for each of the ICDs, and (iii) the content preference predictions; and transmitting the representation to the mobile device for rendering at the mobile device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
updating the representation based on a presence of the mobile device and the ICDs in the local wireless coverage environment.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving from the mobile device a command for controlling a functionality of one of the ICDs; and transmitting the command to the ICD.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user data feeds comprise information about previously selected content.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data feed.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a user context feed comprising device information about ICDs currently in the local wireless coverage environment.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a web feed comprising information about web pages.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a social feed comprising at least one of text, videos, or images.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the local wireless coverage environment comprises at least one of a Wi-Fi wireless coverage environment or a Bluetooth wireless coverage environment.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the representation of the ICDs is for rendering at the mobile device via one or more rendering applications.
11 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
obtaining a control interface for at least one of the ICDs, the control interface allowing control of a functionality of the ICD; and wherein the representation of the ICDs includes the control interface for the at least one of the ICDs for control by the user of the mobile device.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the control interface is received from a directory service (DS).
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the control interface is selected from a list of predefined control interfaces.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein playing the content in the physical environment comprises playing at least one of music or video in the physical environment.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the user data feeds is associated with the user of the mobile device.
16 . A system for generating a representation of one or more Internet connected devices (ICDs) in a local wireless coverage environment, each of the ICDs being configured to receive content from one or more Internet content providers and to play the content in a physical environment, the representation being generated for rendering at a mobile device, the system comprising:
a server located outside the local wireless coverage environment, the server comprising a processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon, that when executed on the processor, perform the steps of: receiving a notification of the presence of each of the ICDs in the local wireless coverage environment; determining capabilities for each of the ICDs; receiving one or more user data feeds; determining content preference predictions by applying a machine learning algorithm to the user data feeds; generating a representation of the ICDs, the representation including (i) a list of the ICDs for control by a user of the mobile device, (ii) the capabilities for each of the ICDs, and (iii) the content preference predictions; and transmitting the representation to the mobile device for rendering at the mobile device.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further perform the step of:
updating the representation based on a presence of the mobile device and the ICDs in the local wireless coverage environment.
18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further perform the steps of:
receiving from the mobile device a command for controlling a functionality of one of the ICDs; and transmitting the command to the ICD.
19 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the user data feeds comprise information about previously selected content.
20 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data feed.
21 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a user context feed comprising device information about ICDs currently in the local wireless coverage environment.
22 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a web feed comprising information about web pages.
23 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the user data feeds comprise a social feed comprising at least one of text, videos, or images.
24 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the local wireless coverage environment comprises at least one of a Wi-Fi wireless coverage environment or a Bluetooth wireless coverage environment.
25 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the representation of the ICDs is for rendering at the mobile device via one or more rendering applications.
26 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further perform the steps of:
obtaining a control interface for at least one of the ICDs, the control interface allowing control of a functionality of the ICD; and wherein the representation of the ICDs includes the control interface for the at least one of the ICDs for control by the user of the mobile device.
27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the control interface is received from a directory service (DS).
28 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the control interface is selected from a list of predefined control interfaces.
29 . The system of claim 16 , wherein playing the content in the physical environment comprises playing at least one of music or video in the physical environment.
30 . The system of claim 16 , wherein at least one of the user data feeds is associated with the user of the mobile device.Cited by (0)
