using pentadecanoic acid in a supplement to human diet at a level sufficient to treat symptoms of anemia, wherein said supplement is selected from the group consisting of food additives, food fortifiers, beverage additives, beverage fortifiers, or pharmaceuticals, and is administered to a subject at a daily dose comprising an approximate minimum of 3 mg per lb (or 6 mg per kg) of body weight.
. A method comprising:
administering, to a patient, pentadecanoic acid at a daily dose comprising an approximate minimum of 3 mg per lb (or 6 mg per kg) of the patient's body weight, wherein the pentadecanoic acid is administered in a form selected from the group consisting of a supplement, a food, a food additive, a food fortifier, a beverage additive, a beverage fortifier, and a pharmaceutical.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the daily dose is at a level sufficient to treat symptoms of anemia.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the daily dose is at a level sufficient to support production, formation and maintenance of healthy red blood cells.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the daily dose is at a level sufficient to support healthy blood cell replication.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the daily dose is at a level sufficient as a hemoglobin blood enhancer.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the daily dose is at a level sufficient to reduce the risk of anemia.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the pharmaceutical is in a form selected from the group consisting of a tablet, an encapsulated pill, a gelcap pill, a liquid suspension, a spray, and a powder.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein the patient is a mammal.
. The method of claim 9 , wherein the mammal is a human.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
