Managing channels in an open data ecosystem
Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for managing channels in an open data ecosystem. A method includes receiving user input indicating channel configuration information from a user of an open data ecosystem via at least one graphical user interface, wherein the open data ecosystem comprises a plurality of public channels and a plurality of private channels. The method further includes configuring, by a computer processing device, one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels based on the channel configuration information received from the user via the at least one graphical user interface.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving user input indicating channel configuration information from a user of an open data ecosystem via at least one graphical user interface,
wherein the open data ecosystem comprises a plurality of public channels and a plurality of private channels; and
configuring, by a computer processing device, one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels based on the channel configuration information received from the user via the at least one graphical user interface.
2 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:
providing the at least one graphical user interface to the user of the open data ecosystem.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein users of the open data ecosystem receive messages by subscribing to the one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user input indicates account information for the user, and wherein configuring the one or more channels comprises:
creating an account for the user based on the account information.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user input indicates channel information for a first channel of the one or more channels, and wherein configuring the one or more channels comprises:
creating the first channel based on the channel information.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user input indicates updated channel information for a first channel of the one or more channels, and wherein configuring the one or more channels comprises:
updating the channel information for the first channel based on the updated channel information.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user input indicates one or more users and access permissions for the one or more users to the one or more channels, and wherein configuring the one or more channels comprises:
granting access to the one or more channels for the one or more users, based on the access permissions.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface is configured to provide statistics related to the one or more channels.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein configuring the one or more channels comprises:
converting a first channel from private to public when the first channel satisfies one or more conditions for converting the first channel from private to public; and providing a second graphical user interface indicating that the first channel has been converted from private to public.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface is configured to indicate existing channel information for a first channel of the one or more channels.
11 . An apparatus, comprising:
a computer processing device to:
receive user input indicating channel configuration information from a user of an open data ecosystem via at least one graphical user interface,
wherein the open data ecosystem comprises a plurality of public channels and a plurality of private channels; and
configure one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels based on the channel configuration information received from the user via the at least one graphical user interface.
12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the computer processing device is further to:
provide the at least one graphical user interface to the user of the open data ecosystem.
13 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein users of the open data ecosystem receive messages by subscribing to the one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels.
14 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the user input indicates account information for the user, and wherein to configure the one or more channels the computer processing device is further to:
create an account for the user based on the account information.
15 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the user input indicates channel information for a first channel of the one or more channels, and wherein to configure the one or more channels the computer processing device is further to:
create the first channel based on the channel information.
16 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the user input indicates updated channel information for a first channel of the one or more channels, and wherein to configure the one or more channels the computer processing device is further to:
update the channel information for the first channel based on the updated channel information.
17 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the user input indicates one or more users and access permissions for the one or more users to the one or more channels, and wherein to configure the one or more channels the computer processing device is further to:
grant access to the one or more channels for the one or more users, based on the access permissions.
18 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface is configured to provide statistics related to the one or more channels.
19 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein to configure the one or more channels the computer processing device is further to:
convert a first channel from private to public when the first channel satisfies one or more conditions for converting the first channel from private to public; and provide a second graphical user interface indicating that the first channel has been converted from private to public.
20 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instruction stored thereon that, when executed by a computer processing device, cause the computer processing device to:
receive user input indicating channel configuration information from a user of an open data ecosystem via at least one graphical user interface,
wherein the open data ecosystem comprises a plurality of public channels and a plurality of private channels; and
configure, by the computer processing device, one or more channels of the plurality of public channels or the plurality of private channels based on the channel configuration information received from the user via the at least one graphical user interface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
