Abstract
A fluid delivery device for administering a first medicament and a second medicament includes a first fluid reservoir configured to contain the first medicament and a second fluid reservoir configured to contain the second medicament. The fluid delivery device may include one or more basal drive mechanisms to provide a basal delivery of one or more of the first and second medicaments. The fluid delivery device may further include one or more bolus drive mechanisms to provide a bolus delivery of one or more of the first and second medicaments.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 46 . (canceled)
47 . A fluid delivery device, comprising:
a housing; a first fluid reservoir within the housing containing a first medicament, said first medicament comprising a dopamine receptor agonist; a second fluid reservoir within the housing containing a second medicament; a needle having a first end configured to extend into the first fluid reservoir and a second end configured to extend from the housing; and at least one basal drive mechanism configured to engage one or both of the first fluid reservoir and the second fluid reservoir to provide a basal delivery of one or both of the first medicament and the second medicament.
48 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the first end of the needle is split into a first uptake arm and a second uptake arm, and wherein an end of the first uptake arm is configured to extend into the first fluid reservoir to fluidly couple the needle with the first medicament.
49 . The fluid delivery device of claim 48 , wherein an end of the second uptake arm is configured to extend into the second fluid reservoir to fluidly couple the needle with the second medicament.
50 . The fluid delivery device of claim 48 , wherein the ends of the first and second uptake arms and the second end of the needle point in the same direction.
51 . The fluid delivery device of claim 48 , wherein the ends of the first and second uptake arms and the second end of the needle each include a pointed tip.
52 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the first medicament consists of apomorphine.
53 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the dopamine receptor agonist is apomorphine.
54 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the dopamine receptor agonist comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of pramipexole and ropinirole.
55 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the dopamine receptor agonist of the first medicament comprises apomorphine.
56 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the second medicament comprises a dopamine receptor agonist.
57 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein the second medicament comprises one or more compounds capable of reducing the stability of the apomorphine upon contact.
58 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 further comprising:
a needle button extending from the housing and coupled to the needle.
59 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 , wherein each of the at least one basal drive mechanisms comprises a coil spring coupled to a drive piston.
60 . The fluid delivery device of claim 47 further comprising:
a hydraulic fluid reservoir coupled to the at least one basal drive mechanism, the hydraulic fluid reservoir including hydraulic fluid;
at least one basal pump chamber having hydraulic fluid and coupled to one or both of the first fluid reservoir and the second fluid reservoir; and
at least one flow restrictor fluidly coupling the hydraulic fluid reservoir with the at least one basal pump chamber,
wherein the at least one basal drive mechanism is configured to pressurize the hydraulic fluid in the at least one basal pump chamber.
61 . A fluid delivery device, comprising:
a housing; a first fluid reservoir within the housing containing a first medicament, said first medicament comprising a dopamine receptor agonist; a second fluid reservoir within the housing containing a second medicament; a needle having a first end configured to extend into the first fluid reservoir and a second end configured to extend from the housing; and a basal drive mechanism configured to engage both of the first fluid reservoir and the second fluid reservoir to provide a basal delivery of both of the first medicament and the second medicament simultaneously.Cited by (0)
