Abstract
An identity, position, health, tracking and/or monitoring apparatus is provided. The identity, position, health, tracking and/or monitoring apparatus includes a housing configured to removably secure the tracking or monitoring apparatus to a person, such as a child, pet, etc. or an object. Particularly, the tracking and/or monitoring apparatus may be connectable to a flexible and/or stretchable band that may be worn around a part of the body, such as a wrist, necklace, waist, or ankle of a user. The tracking and/or monitoring apparatus may include one or more of a processing unit, a geolocating module, a communications module, an artificial intelligence module, and/or a music playing module. In various embodiments, the tracking and/or monitoring apparatus is configured for locating, tracking, and/or monitoring a user of the device as well as an associated biological or environmental condition of the user. In particular instances, the tracking and/or monitoring apparatus is configured for performing cellular or VOIP communications.
Claims

A wearable thin profile geolocation device for monitoring a motion and an orientation of a person within a geographical region, the geolocation device being configured as a bracelet for being worn around a wrist of the person, the geolocation device comprising:
a housing having an elongated body, the elongated body being defined by first and second extended surface members, each surface member being coupled one to another at respective circumferential portions, the housing having a waterproof cavity in between the first and second extended surface members; and a semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement contained within the cavity of the housing, the semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement having one or more rigid circuit board portions connected by one or more flexible portions, the digital logic circuit board arrangement being positioned in the cavity of the housing, one or more of the rigid circuit board portions of the digital logic circuit board arrangement including: a central processing unit (CPU) or graphics processing unit (GPU); a sensor module, the sensor module including one or more of an accelerometer, a multi-axis accelerometer, and a gyroscope, the sensor module being configured for determining a motion and an orientation of the person; a geolocating module, the geolocating module configured for determining a location of the person; a communications module, the communications module configured for communicably coupling the geolocation device to a remote computing device, a memory, for storing machine-executable instructions, the machine-executable instructions configured for directing one or more operations of the CPU or GPU, and a rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being operably connected to the geolocating module, the communications module, the memory, and the rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being configured for automatically effectuating a transmission of one or more of an alarm and the determined location of the person to the remote computing device via the communications module if one or more of the determined motion and orientation of the person indicates a fall has taken place.
2 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the thin profile comprises a thickness from first surface to second surface that ranges from about 5 mm to about 20 mm.
3 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the thickness ranges from about 3 mm to about 12 mm.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the sensor module further includes a sensor for monitoring a health condition of the person so as to generate a sensed health condition, and the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person occurs if the sensed health condition indicates a harmful condition.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the sensor comprises one or more of a heart rate sensor, a blood pressure sensor, a blood sugar level sensor, an insulin level sensor, a blood oxygen content level sensor, a blood carbon dioxide level sensor, a blood alcohol content level sensor, and an alertness sensor.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 5 , wherein the CPU or GPU of the geolocation device further includes an artificial intelligence (A/I) module, wherein the A/I module is configured for determining an average range for one or more of the determined motion, orientation, and health condition of the person, and the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person occurs if the one or more of the determined motion, orientation, and health condition of the person falls outside of the determined average range.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the A/I module is configured for determining a trend in one or more of the determined motion, orientation, and health condition of the person, and the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person occurs if the one or more of the determined motion, orientation, and health condition of the person is predicted, based on one or more determined trends, to fall outside of the determined average range.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 7 , wherein the CPU or GPU of the geolocation device further includes a voice recognition module configured for effectuating the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person upon activation by receipt of a voice command of the person.
9 . A wearable thin profile geolocation device for tracking and/or monitoring a health condition of a person within a geographical region, the geolocation device being configured as a bracelet for being worn around a wrist of the person, the geolocation device comprising:
a housing having an elongated body, the elongated body being defined by first and second extended surface members, each surface member being coupled one to another at respective circumferential portions, the housing having a waterproof cavity in between the first and second extended surface members; and a semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement contained within the cavity of the housing, the semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement having one or more rigid circuit board portions connected by one or more flexible portions, the digital logic circuit board arrangement being positioned in the cavity of the housing, one or more of the rigid circuit board portions of the digital logic circuit board arrangement including: a central processing unit (CPU) or graphics processing unit (GPU); a sensor module, the sensor module including one or more sensors for determining and/or monitoring a health condition of the person so as to generate one or more determined health conditions of the person; a geolocating module, the geolocating module configured for determining a location of the person; a communications module, the communications module configured for communicably coupling the geolocation device to a remote computing device, a memory, for storing machine-executable instructions, the machine-executable instructions configured for directing one or more operations of the CPU or GPU, and a rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being operably connected to the geolocating module, the communications module, the memory, and the rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being configured for effectuating a transmission of one or more of an alarm and the determined location of the person to the remote computing device via the communications module if the one or more determined health conditions of the person breaches a set parameter.
10 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 9 , wherein the thin profile comprises a thickness from first surface to second surface that ranges from about 5 mm to about 20 mm.
11 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 10 , wherein the thickness ranges from about 3 mm to about 12 mm.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the CPU or GPU of the geolocation device further includes a voice recognition module configured for effectuating the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person upon activation by receipt of a voice command of the person.
13 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 10 , wherein the sensor module further includes a sensor configured for determining a motion and an orientation of the person.
14 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 13 , wherein the sensor comprises one or more of an accelerometer, a multi-axis accelerometer, and a gyroscope.
15 . The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 9 , wherein the CPU or GPU of the geolocation device further includes an artificial intelligence (A/I) module, wherein the A/I module is configured for determining an average range for one or more of the determined health conditions of the person, and the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person occurs if the one or more of the determined health conditions of the person falls outside of the determined average range.

The wearable thin profile geolocation device in accordance with claim 15 , wherein the A/I module is configured for determining a trend in one or more of the determined health conditions of the person, and the transmission of the one or more of the alarm and the determined location of the person occurs if the determined health conditions of the person is predicted, based on one or more determined trends, to fall outside of the determined average range.
17 . A wearable thin profile sensing device for monitoring an environmental condition surrounding a person within a geographical region, the sensing device being configured as a bracelet for being worn around a wrist of the person, the sensing device comprising:
a housing having an elongated body, the elongated body being defined by first and second extended surface members, each surface member being coupled one to another at respective circumferential portions, the housing having a waterproof cavity in between the first and second extended surface members; and a semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement contained within the cavity of the housing, the semi-flexible digital logic circuit board arrangement having one or more rigid circuit board portions connected by one or more flexible portions, the digital logic circuit board arrangement being positioned in the cavity of the housing, one or more of the rigid circuit board portions of the digital logic circuit board arrangement including: a central processing unit (CPU) or graphics processing unit (GPU); a sensor module, the sensor module including one or more environmental conditions sensors, the sensor module being configured for determining an environmental condition in which the person is present; a communications module, the communications module configured for communicably coupling the geolocation device to a remote computing device, a memory, for storing machine-executable instructions, the machine-executable instructions configured for directing one or more operations of the CPU or GPU, and a rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being operably connected to the sensor module, the communications module, the memory, and the rechargeable battery, the CPU or GPU being configured for automatically effectuating a transmission of an alarm to the remote computing device via the communications module if the determined environmental condition is determined to be harmful to the person.

The wearable thin profile sensing device in accordance with claim 17 , further comprising a geolocating module, the geolocating module configured for determining a location of the person, wherein the effectuating the transmission of the alarm further includes transmitting the determined location of the person in the harmful environment.

The wearable thin profile sensing device in accordance with claim 18 , wherein the CPU or GPU of the geolocation device further includes an artificial intelligence (A/I) module, wherein the A/I module is configured for determining an average range for one or more of the determined environmental conditions, and the transmission of the alarm occurs if the one or more of the determined environmental conditions falls outside of the determined average range.

The wearable thin profile sensing device in accordance with claim 19 , wherein the A/I module is configured for determining a trend in the determined environmental condition, and the transmission of the alarm occurs if the determined environmental condition is predicted, based on one or more determined trends, to fall outside of the determined average range.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
