Abstract

A method of using voice commands from a mobile device to remotely access and control a computer. The method includes receiving audio data from the mobile device at the computer. The audio data is decoded into a command. A software program that the command was provided for is determined. At least one process is executed at the computer in response to the command. Output data is generated at the computer in response to executing at least one process at the computer. The output data is transmitted to the mobile device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system for remotely accessing and controlling a computer from a mobile device comprising:
 a mobile device; a computer comprising:
 a mobile device interface, wherein the mobile device interface comprises:
 a native application video output conversion, wherein the native application video output conversion receives video output from the computer for transmission to the mobile device; and
 a native application audio output conversion, wherein the native application audio output conversion receives native application audio output from the computer for transmission to the mobile device;

 an audio command interface;
 an operating system interface; and
 native applications; and
   a communications medium between the mobile device and the computer; wherein voice commands at the mobile device remotely access and control the computer, and wherein images and sounds generated at the computer are visible and audible at the mobile device.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the voice commands are capable of controlling an operating system on the computer.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the voice commands are capable of controlling the native applications on the computer.

         4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the communications medium is a wireless network.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device comprises a cellular phone, smart phone, touch-screen device, personal digital assistant, tablet device, notebook device, laptop device, another suitable mobile device that allows for communication with the computer, or combinations thereof.

         6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device interface receives data comprising voice data, keypad entry data, keyboard entry data, other suitable data, or combinations thereof from the mobile device through the communications medium.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device interface is capable of performing voice recognition.

         8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device interface is capable of providing voice data to the audio command interface.

         9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the voice data corresponds to one of two or more predetermined audio commands.

         10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the audio command interface comprises a voice-to-command conversion unit, wherein the voice-to-command conversion unit determines if the voice data is in a proper sequence to be received as a command.
