Device for covering gap between temporary work platforms
Abstract
Provided is a device for covering a gap between temporary work platforms, which is capable of securely covering a gap between spaced temporary work platforms, thereby preventing a worker's foot from being caught in a gap or preventing an accident caused by dropping of work tools, building materials or the like through a gap, and which provides excellent convenience of use due to its structure capable of simply and easily covering a gap between the temporary work platforms, and which is easily installed or dismantled without any specific work tools or devices. The device includes a flat-plate-shaped cover plate, both lateral side portions of which are placed on the top surfaces of adjacent temporary work platforms in order to cover a gap formed between the temporary work platforms. The cover plate is provided at the bottom surface thereof with a coupling portion. The device further includes at least one separation-preventing unit configured to be coupled to the coupling portion of the cover plate in order to prevent the cover plate from being separated from the temporary work platforms.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A device for covering a gap between temporary work platforms, comprising:
a cover plate having a flat-plate shape, the cover plate comprising both lateral side portions, formed to be placed on top surfaces of adjacent temporary work platforms in order to cover a gap formed between the temporary work platforms, and a coupling portion provided at a bottom surface thereof; and at least one separation-preventing unit configured to be coupled to the coupling portion of the cover plate in order to prevent the cover plate from being separated from the temporary work platforms.
2 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the separation-preventing unit comprises a downward-pressing unit configured to be brought into close contact with bottom surfaces of the temporary work platforms and to exert downward-pulling force on the cover plate so that the cover plate is pressed against top surfaces of the temporary work platforms.
3 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the coupling portion comprises a pair of accommodation brackets formed along a center portion of the cover plate in a longitudinal direction of the cover plate while being spaced apart from each other, and
wherein each of the pair of accommodation brackets comprises a vertical portion extending vertically downwards and a horizontal portion extending horizontally from a lower end of the vertical portion toward a center of the cover plate.
4 . The device according to claim 3 , wherein the separation-preventing unit comprises a downward-pressing unit configured to be brought into close contact with bottom surfaces of the temporary work platforms and to exert downward-pulling force on the cover plate so that the cover plate is pressed against top surfaces of the temporary work platforms,
wherein the coupling portion comprises a pair of accommodation brackets formed along a center portion of the cover plate in a longitudinal direction of the cover plate while being spaced apart from each other, and wherein each of the pair of accommodation brackets comprises a vertical portion extending vertically downwards and a horizontal portion extending horizontally from a lower end of the vertical portion toward a center of the cover plate.
5 . The device according to claim 4 , wherein the downward-pressing unit comprises a horizontal bar and an elastic body configured to exert tensile force on the horizontal bar in an upward direction.
6 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the separation-preventing unit further comprises:
an upper member disposed between the pair of accommodation brackets, the upper member being configured to be slidable in a longitudinal direction; a lower member formed at a lower side of the upper member, the lower member having a width smaller than a width of the upper member; an accommodation hole formed in a center in a longitudinal direction of the upper member and in a center in a longitudinal direction of the lower member and extending in a vertical direction; and a stopper formed at a lower end of the accommodation hole, the stopper having a width smaller than an internal width of the accommodation hole.
7 . The device according to claim 6 , wherein the downward-pressing unit further comprises a vertical connection member, the vertical connection member comprising a head portion, accommodated in the accommodation hole and configured to be caught by the stopper, and a lower end portion coupled so as to be perpendicular to a top surface of the horizontal bar, and
wherein the elastic body is a compression elastic body located between the head portion of the vertical connection member and a top surface of the stopper within the accommodation hole in order to press a bottom surface of the head portion of the vertical connection member upwards so that the vertical connection member is biased upwards.
8 . The device according to claim 7 , further comprising:
an accommodation groove formed in a lower end of the lower member and extending in a longitudinal direction of the lower member in order to accommodate the horizontal bar therein; and a fixing groove formed in a center of the lower end in the longitudinal direction of the lower member and extending in a width direction of the lower member in order to restrict rotation and movement of the horizontal bar.
9 . The device according to claim 8 , further comprising:
upper fixing holes formed in a center in a width direction of the cover plate at a predetermined interval; and lower fixing holes formed in the upper member so as to correspond to the upper fixing holes.
10 . The device according to claim 9 , further comprising:
a through-hole formed in the center in the width direction of the cover plate so as to allow the vertical connection member to pass therethrough.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
