Abstract

People love fun fast paced family friendly party games having elements of skill and luck allowing everyone to get in on the fun. Fast paced game play can be a more hygienic alternative to beer pong with the receptacle target being portable, lightweight, durable, compactly storable, placeable for instance onto a table or a truck tailgate. Embodiments can be used as amusement games with players stacking game pieces on or tossing game pieces towards a receptacle target. Innovative elegant designs brings out the natural beauty of wood or other stylistic materials in a fun functional manner.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A game kit comprising:
a receptacle target for catching one or more ferromagnetic game pieces, the receptacle target having a width of from about 3 to about 15 inches, a length of from about 3 to about 15 inches, and a height of from about 0.5 to about 5 inches, the receptacle target comprising a permanent magnet encapsulated within the receptacle target in a fixed position, the permanent magnet having a surface field strength of 0.4 Tesla or greater; and a plurality of ferromagnetic game pieces, each being in the shape of a crown bottle cap.

         2 . A game kit comprising:
a receptacle target for catching one or more ferromagnetic game pieces, the receptacle target having a width of from about 3 to about 15 inches, a length of from about 3 to about 15 inches, and a height of from about 0.5 to about 5 inches, the receptacle target comprising a first interior recess; a permanent magnetic in a fixed position in the first interior recess, the permanent magnet having a surface field strength of 0 . 4 Tesla or greater; a protectively encapsulating cover piece permanently affixed keeping the permanent magnetic in a fixed position and protecting the permanent magnetic within the first interior recess; and a plurality of ferromagnetic game pieces in the shape of a crown bottle cap that are not permanent magnets and comprise material magnetically attracted to the permanent magnet.

3 . The game kit of claim 1 , further comprising: instructions for playing a plurality of games using the game kit.

4 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle target in a shape of a polygon or elliptical or circular disk.

5 . The game kit of claim 4 , wherein receptacle target has a height sufficient so a game piece can adhere to a side of the receptacle target.

6 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the permanent magnetic or permanent magnetics is a neodymium permanent magnet.

7 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the permanent magnetic with sufficient magnet field strength to hold more than a dozen ferromagnetic bottle caps.

8 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein magnet components with sufficient magnet field strength to lift a nominal 26 mm diameter ferromagnetic crown bottle cap off a surface when 2 inch away from the nominal 26 mm diameter ferromagnetic crown bottle cap when the nominal 26 mm diameter ferromagnetic crown bottle is subjected to an opposing gravitational force from a gravitational acceleration of a nominal earth sized and density planetary object of approximately 9.81 meters per second̂ −2.

9 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle target comprises a material selected from the group consisting of wood or thermally treated wood.

10 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle target comprises plastic.

11 . The game kit of claim 1 , further comprising: a receptacle target top surface and or a receptacle target bottom surface containing target indicia.

12 . The game kit of claim 1 , further comprising: the receptacle target having a second top layer material and or a receptacle target second bottom layer material.

13 . The game kit of claim 1 , wherein the receptacle target comprises a luminescent component.

14 . The game kit of claim 1 , further comprising: the receptacle target made of two pieces that are symmetrical or asymmetrical fastened together.

15 . The game kit of claim 2 , further comprising: the receptacle target including a second interior recess larger in diameter then the first interior recess such that when the cover piece is positioned the cover piece makes contact with the receptacle target material facilitating permanent adhesion; and
the protectively encapsulating cover piece keeping the permanent magnetic positioned within the first interior recess.

16 . The game kit of claim 2 , wherein the receptacle target and cover piece protectively encapsulating the magnet having a surface thickness protecting the permanent magnet of 1/32 inch or greater.

17 . The game kit of claim 2 , wherein the receptacle target comprises a material selected from the group consisting of wood or thermally treated wood.

18 . The game kit of claim 2 , wherein the receptacle target comprises plastic.

         19 . A method of playing a game comprising:
placing a receptacle target for catching one or more ferromagnetic game pieces, the receptacle target having a width of from about 3 to about 15 inches, a length of from about 3 to about 15 inches, and a height of from about 0.5 to about 5 inches, the receptacle target comprising a permanent magnet encapsulated within the receptacle target in a fixed position, the permanent magnet having a surface field strength of 0.4 Tesla or greater on a surface; players taking turns attempting to toss, stack, or sculpt ferromagnetic game pieces, each being in the shape of a crown bottle cap onto the receptacle target without missing or falling off the receptacle target; wherein said ferromagnetic game pieces accumulate on said receptacle target forming a progressively growing stack of ferromagnetic game pieces, wherein the later added ferromagnetic game pieces exhibit progressively less magnetic attraction and thus greater difficulty in being retained by the receptacle target.

20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising: using ferromagnetic game pieces with a brand logo as the game pieces to advertise a brand, and or using a receptacle target with a brand logo to advertise said brand.
