Abstract
The invention provides a compound of formula (Ia), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The invention also provides use of the compounds or salts as modulators of Kv3.1 and/or Kv3.2, and in the treatment of diseases or disorders where a modulator of Kv3.1 and/or Kv3.2 is required, such as depression and mood disorders, hearing disorders, schizopherenea, substance abuse disorders, sleep disorders or epilepsy.

wherein:
R 1 is halo, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy, halo-C 1-4 -alkyl, halo-C 1-4 -alkoxy or cyano;
R 2 is H, halo, cyano, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy; with the proviso that when R 2 is H, R 1 is not in the para position;
X is CH or N;
Y is CH or N;
or a salt thereof.
2 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein X is CH and Y is CH.
3 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein X is N and Y is CH.
4 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein X is N and Y is N.
5 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is halo, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy.
6 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 2 is H, halo, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy.
7 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is halo, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy, halo-C 1-4 alkoxy or cyano; and R 2 is H, halo, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy.
8 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or halo-C 4 alkoxy; R 2 is H, cyano or C 1-4 alkyl; X is N; and Y is N or CH.
9 . A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is propyl, butyl, methoxy, propoxy or trifluoromethoxy; R 2 is H, cyano or methyl; X is N; and Y is N or CH.Cited by (0)
