Gaming Machine
Abstract
There is provided a gaming machine capable of providing diverse type of image representation. The gaming machine 1 includes: a screen unit 10040 whose surface at least partially includes curved portions 10042; and a projector 10020 accommodated inside a casing 2, which is configured to project light to the screen unit 10040. Light projected by the projector 10020 is incident on a back surface side of the screen unit 10040 from the inside of the casing 2. The screen unit 10040 lets the light incident on the back surface side of the screen unit 10040 pass the screen unit 10040, thereby enabling displaying of an image on the front surface side of the screen unit 10040 positioned on the surface of the casing 2.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A gaming machine, comprising:
a cabinet having a plurality of walls defining an interior cabinet space; an electronic display device comprising at least a portion of one of the plurality of walls of the cabinet upon which gaming machine operations are viewable; a structure object having a light-transmissive material formed in a three-dimensional shape and a light diffusion member disposed on a back surface side thereof, and on at least a portion of the one of the plurality of walls of the cabinet including the electronic display device; a projector disposed behind the structure object and configured to project image light corresponding to an image toward the structure object, wherein the image light projected by the projector is incident on the back-surface side of the structure object; and wherein the structure object transmits the image light incident on the back-surface side thereof to a front surface side thereof thereby illuminating the structure object on the front surface side thereof.
2 . The gaming machine according to claim 1 , wherein the structure object has an image displaying part on the back-surface side thereof and includes a half-mirror on the front surface side thereof, and
wherein when no image light projected by the projector is incident on the back-surface of the structure object, no image is displayed on the structure object, and wherein, when image light is projected by the projector is incident on the back-surface of the structure object, the image is displayed on the structure object.
3 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 , further comprising:
a controller including a central processing unit (CPU) in electronic communication with the projector, wherein the controller is configured to control the projector to emit image light toward the structure object to display the image on the structure object.
4 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 , wherein the image light corresponding to the image corresponds to the three-dimensional shape of the structure object.
5 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 , wherein when no image light projected by the projector is incident on the back-surface of the structure object, the half-mirror of the three-dimensional structure object reflects light incident thereon.
6 . A gaming machine, comprising:
a structure object having a light-transmissive material formed in a three-dimensional shape; and a projector configured to project light corresponding to an image to display the image on the structure object, wherein the structure object has an image displaying part on a back-surface side thereof and has a half-mirror on a front surface side thereof.
7 . The gaming machine of claim 6 , wherein the structure object comprises at least a front wall of the gaming machine, the projector is disposed behind the front wall, and the light projected by the projector is transmitted to the back-surface side of the structure object.
8 . The gaming machine of claim 7 , wherein the light projected by the projector is reflected via a mirror, and then subsequently transmitted to the back-surface side of the structure object.
9 . The gaming machine of claim 6 , wherein the structure object comprises at least a portion of the front wall and a portion of a side wall of the gaming machine.
10 . The gaming machine of claim 6 , further comprising an electronic display device allowing gaming operations to be viewed thereon.
11 . A gaming machine, comprising:
a front wall and a side wall; an electronic display device comprising at least a portion of the front wall upon which gaming machine operations are viewable; a display screen comprising at least a portion of the front wall and including a light transmissive plate and a first image displaying part, the light transmissive plate disposed toward an exterior side of the gaming machine and the first image displaying part being disposed toward an interior side of the gaming machine, the light transmissive plate and the first image displaying part in registration with one another; a projector configured to project first projection light corresponding to a first image, the projection light transmittable to the display screen; wherein when the first projection light is incident on the display screen including the first image displaying part, the incident light is transmitted toward an exterior side of the display screen such that the first image corresponding to the first projection light is viewable from the exterior side of the display screen.
12 . The gaming machine of claim 11 , wherein the display screen comprises at least a portion of the side wall, and the first image is displayed on a portion of the front wall and a portion of the side wall.
13 . The gaming machine of claim 11 , wherein the display screen is proximate the electronic display device.
14 . The gaming machine of claim 11 , further comprising a structure object having three-dimensional structure a light-transmissive material formed in a three-dimensional shape, a light diffusion member disposed on a back surface side thereof, and a half-mirror on a front side thereof, the structure object disposed proximate the display screen and on at least a portion of the one of the plurality of walls of the cabinet including the electronic display device, wherein
the projector is configured to project second projection light corresponding to a second image corresponding to the three-dimensional structure toward the structure object; wherein, when the second projection light corresponding to the second image is incident on the back-surface of the structure object, the second image is displayed on the structure object.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
