Claims

Abstract

A main light and a secondary LED light for generation lumination of particular light characteristics in a particular direction. This includes an LED lighting fixture having a min light in a ceiling/wall lamp and a nightlight transmitting nightlight illumination along a ceiling. Downlights are disclosed having a main illumination source a secondary lumination source as a nightlight or some other illumination.

1 . A light fixture comprising:
 a main light assembly for providing main light illumination; and   an LED nightlight assembly for providing nightlight illumination, said LED nightlight assembly comprising at least one LED supporting structure and an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said at least one LED supporting structure.   
     
     
         2 . A light fixture according to  claim 2  wherein said LED nightlight assembly comprises electric circuitry for providing electrical power to said array of nightlight LEDs, said electric circuitry including a switching assembly for selectively enabling electrical power to be transmitted to said array of LED nightlights to turn said array of LED nightlight on and off. 
     
     
         3 . A light fixture according to  claim 2  and further comprising:
 nightlight illumination directing structure for directing the nightlight illumination provided by said array of LED nightlight in a particular direction. 
 
     
     
         4 . A light fixture according to  claim 3  wherein said light fixture is a ceiling light fixture for being mounted on a ceiling, and wherein said nightlight illumination directing structure restricts said nightlight illumination in a direction relative to said ceiling. 
     
     
         5 . A light fixture according to  claim 4  wherein said LED light fixture comprises:
 a nightlight LED mounting structure disposed adjacent a ceiling in response to said ceiling light fixture being mounted to a ceiling; and 
 said array of nightlight LEDs being mounted on said nightlight LED mounting structure for directing nightlight LED illumination in directions substantially parallel to the ceiling in response to electrical power being transmitted to said array of LEDs. 
 
     
     
         6 . A light fixture according to  claim 5  wherein said nightlight LED mounting structure has a predetermined configuration and is composed of an exterior mounting location, and said array of LEDs is mounted on said exterior annular mounting location to project nightlight illumination along a ceiling to which said light fixture is mounted. 
     
     
         7 . A light fixture according to  claim 6  and further comprising a nightlight light transmitter for modifying the LED light emitted by said array of LEDs and transmitting said nightlight illumination through said nightlight transmitter. 
     
     
         8 . A light fixture according to  claim 6  and further comprising:
 a main light printed circuit board disposed forwardly of said exterior mounting location; 
 main light LEDs mounted on the forward side of said main light printed circuit board in response to the receipt of electrical power by said main light printed circuit board; and 
 a diffuser forwardly of said main light printed circuit board for diffusing light emitted by said main light LEDs. 
 
     
     
         9 . A light fixture according to  claim 8  wherein said main light LEDs comprise an array of main light LEDs mounted on the forward side of said main light printed circuit board; and wherein said light fixture according to  claim 8  further comprises:
 an optical lens for directing light emitted by said main light LEDs in predetermined relative directions through said diffuser 
 
     
     
         10 . A light fixture according to  claim 9  wherein said optical lens is subdivided into a set of lens for said array of respective LEDs for directing light from said respective LEDs in said array of main light LEDs in said predetermined relative direction through said diffuser. 
     
     
         11 . A light fixture according to  claim 8  wherein said predetermined configuration of said nightlight LED mounting structure is horseshoe shaped. 
     
     
         12 . A light fixture according to  claim 11  wherein said main light printed circuit board is horseshoe shaped, and wherein said main light printed circuit board and said nightlight LED mounting structure is of substantially the same shape and size, and wherein said main light printed circuit board is in alignment with said nightlight LED mounting structure. 
     
     
         13 . A light fixture according to  claim 4  wherein said light fixture comprises:
 a nightlight LED mounting structure disposed adjacent a ceiling in response to said ceiling light fixture being mounted to a ceiling; and 
 an array of nightlight LEDs being mounted on said nightlight mounting structure for directing LED nightlight in the direction of substantially parallel to the ceiling. 
 
     
     
         14 . A light fixture according to  claim 13  wherein said light fixture is a low profile flushmount with nightlight. 
     
     
         15 . A light fixture according to  claim 13  wherein:
 said main light assembly comprises a main light printed circuit board, and an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light printed circuit board for providing main light illumination in response to receiving electricity from a source of electricity, the main light illumination having variable correlated color temperature according to variable electrical characteristic of the electricity received by said main light LEDs; 
 and wherein said light fixture further comprises:
 main light electric circuitry for supplying electricity from a source of electricity to said array of main light LEDs; 
 digitally operated electricity correlated color temperature switching apparatus for varying controlling the electricity transmitted to said main light LEDs to vary the correlated color temperature of the main light transmitted by said main light LEDs. 
 
 
     
     
         16 . A light fixture according to  claim 15  wherein said digitally operated electrical correlated color temperature switching apparatus comprises a digitally movable switching component on an exterior accessible surface of said light fixture to enable a user's finger to activate said color temperature switching apparatus. 
     
     
         17 . A light fixture assembly according to  claim 15  wherein a junction box assembly is located in a ceiling to which said light fixture is to be mounted, and wherein said light fixture further comprises junction box electrical connection assembly for electrically connecting the junction box electrical connection assembly to said main light printed circuit board to supply electrical power to said array of main light LEDs. 
     
     
         18 . A light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said light fixture comprises a downlight. 
     
     
         19 . A light fixture according to  claim 18  wherein said downlight comprises:
 a body portion including:
 a mounting section for being mounted in a support; and 
 
 an LED downlight main light section for emitting LED main light illumination, said LED downlight main light section being connected to said body portion; 
 an LED nightlight holding section fixed with respect to said body portion; and 
 an LED nightlight illumination section connected to said LED nightlight holding section; 
 wherein said LED nightlight illumination section is located separately from said LED downlight main light section. 
 
     
     
         20 . A light fixture according to  claim 19 , said light fixture including an LED downlight central section and an LED downlight peripheral section being peripheral to said LED downlight central section;
 wherein said LED downlight main light section is disposed in said LED downlight central section for emitting main light from said LED downlight central section; and   wherein said LED nightlight illumination section is disposed in a selected one of being proximate to or in said LED downlight peripheral section.   
     
     
         21 . A light fixture according to  claim 20  wherein said LED downlight central section comprises a generally circular cross section. 
     
     
         22 . A light fixture according to  claim 21  wherein said LED downlight peripheral section is generally cylindrical in configuration and generally concentric with said LED downlight central section. 
     
     
         23 . A light fixture according to  claim 22  wherein said LED downlight is mountable to a ceiling; and
 wherein said LED downlight main light section emits main light illumination in at least one main light direction; and 
 wherein said downlight nightlight illumination section emits nightlight illumination in a direction separate from said at least one main light direction. 
 
     
     
         24 . A light fixture according to  claim 23  wherein the ceiling is in a plane, and said at least one main light direction is a direction generally transverse to the plane the ceiling in which said downlight is mounted; and
 said nightlight illumination direction is a direction generally parallel to the ceiling. 
 
     
     
         25 . A light fixture according to  claim 19  wherein said LED downlight main light section emits LED downlight main light illumination of variable correlated temperatures; and
 wherein said LED downlight main light section comprises:
 a manually operated switching assembly for varying the correlated color temperature of the main light illumination of said LED downlight main light section. 
 
 
     
     
         26 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 25  wherein said manually operated switching assembly is located on said body portion. 
     
     
         27 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 26  wherein said body portion includes a hidden surface not visible when said LED light device is mounted in a ceiling, and wherein said manually operated switching assembly includes a manually operated switch device mounted on said hidden surface. 
     
     
         28 . An LED fixture according to  claim 9  wherein said manually operated switching assembly is actuable to operate said LED downlight main light section independently of said LED nightlight illumination section. 
     
     
         29 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said LED light fixture comprises a housing, a main light section disposed at least partly in said housing and said LED nightlight assembly is operatively connected to said housing. 
     
     
         30 . A light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said LED nightlight assembly is located separately from said main light assembly. 
     
     
         31 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 30  wherein at least one of said main light assembly and said nightlight assembly include a variable correlated color temperature, and a switching assembly for varying said correlated color temperature of correlated color temperature of at least one of said main light assembly and said nightlight assembly. 
     
     
         32 . A light fixture according to  claim 30  wherein said main light assembly comprises:
 an array set of main light LEDs for providing main light illumination, said array of main light LEDs being disposed at a forward part of said light fixture, said set of main light LEDs emitting main light LED illumination in at least one direction; 
 a heat sink for absorbing heat generated by said set of main light LEDs; 
 a nightlight printed circuit board disposed rearwardly of said heat sink; and 
 an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight printed circuit board for emitting nightlight illumination; 
 said array of nightlight LEDs emitting nightlight illumination in a direction different from said at least one direction that said main light LEDs emits main light illumination. 
 
     
     
         33 . A light fixture according to  claim 32  wherein said array of nightlight LEDs are mounted on said nightlight printed circuit board in a direction transverse to said at least one direction that said main light LEDs emit the main light LED illumination. 
     
     
         34 . A light fixture according to  claim 33  wherein said heat sink comprises an exterior wall surface, and said light fixture further comprises a back board for positioning and retaining said nightlight printed circuit board and said array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight printed circuit board against said exterior wall surface of said heat sink for forcing said array of nightlight LEDs to emit nightlight illumination in said direction different from said at least one direction of main light illumination emitted by said main light LEDs. 
     
     
         35 . A light fixture according to  claim 34  wherein said light fixture is mounted on a ceiling; and
 wherein said at least one direction that said main light emits main light illumination is away from the ceiling and transverse to the ceiling; and 
 wherein said direction that said array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight printed circuit board is transverse to said at least one direction that said main light emits main light illumination. 
 
     
     
         36 . A light fixture according to  claim 35  and further comprising at least one reflector for reflecting said main light illumination emitted by said main light in the direction away from the ceiling and transverse to the ceiling; and wherein said array of nightlight LEDs is mounted on said nightlight printed circuit board to emit nightlight in a direction parallel to the ceiling; and
 wherein said light fixture further comprises a transparent cover on said nightlight printed circuit board for treating said nightlight emitted by said array of nightlight LEDs. 
 
     
     
         37 . A light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said light fixture comprises an LED ceiling light fixture. 
     
     
         38 . A light fixture according to  claim 37  wherein said LED ceiling light fixture comprises a junction box attachment structure for attaching said LED ceiling light fixture to a junction box mounted in the ceiling. 
     
     
         39 . A light fixture according to  claim 38  wherein the junction box comprises walls, and wherein said LED ceiling light fixture comprises:
 a base structure including a rearward base structure section for being proximate a ceiling, and a base structure forward section for being proximate a floor, when said LED ceiling light fixture is mounted to a ceiling; 
 said LED nightlight assembly being operatively attached to a selected one of said rearward section of said base structure and said forward section of said base structure when said LED ceiling light fixture is attached to the ceiling; and 
 a main light assembly being operatively attached to the other of said forward section and said rearward section of said base structure form which said LED nightlight assembly is attached. 
 
     
     
         40 . A light fixture according to  claim 39  and further comprising attachment structure operatively connected to said base structure for engaging at least one wall of the junction box to stabilize said light fixture with the junction box. 
     
     
         41 . A light fixture according to  claim 40  wherein said attachment structure comprises biasing structure for applying a biasing force between said light fixture and the junction box to stabilize said light fixture with respect to said junction box. 
     
     
         42 . A light fixture according to  claim 41  wherein said biasing force is a spring structure attached to said base structure and engaging at least one wall of the junction box. 
     
     
         43 . A light fixture according to  claim 42  wherein said spring structure comprises a pair of spring biased arms fixed to opposite parts of said base structure for engaging walls of the junction box, said spring bias urging said spring biased arms against the wall of the junction box. 
     
     
         44 . A light fixture according to  claim 39  wherein said LED nightlight assembly comprises:
 a nightlight LED support band; and 
 an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight LED support band for emitting nightlight LED illumination in a direction transverse to a plane perpendicular to the ceiling. 
 
     
     
         45 . A light fixture according to  claim 44  and further comprising a heating panel proximate to said nightlight LED support band for absorbing heat generated by said array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight LED support band. 
     
     
         46 . A light fixture according to  claim 44  and further comprising a light transmitting top cover for covering said nightlight support band and said array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight support band for transmitting nightlight illumination generated by said array of nightlight LEDs. 
     
     
         47 . A light fixture according to  claim 38  wherein said nightlight assembly is operatively attached to said rearward section of said base structure and said main light assembly is operatively attached to said forward section of said base structure; and
 wherein said main light assembly comprises:
 a main light LED band; and 
 an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light LED band for emitting LED main light. 
 
 
     
     
         48 . A light fixture according to  claim 47  and further comprising a reflector plate disposed forwardly of said main light assembly for reflecting main light emitted by said main light assembly in at least one direction transverse to the ceiling. 
     
     
         49 . A light fixture according to  claim 48  and further comprising:
 a heat sink absorbing structure for at least partly enclosing said main light LED band for absorbing heat generated by said array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light LED band. 
 
     
     
         50 . A light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said light fixture is a puff light. 
     
     
         51 . A light fixture according to  claim 50  wherein said puff light comprises:
 a base board for being operatively attached to a selected one of a ceiling and a wall, said puff light having a rearward portion proximate a selected one of the ceiling and the wall when said puff light is mounted to the ceiling and the wall respectively, and a forward portion distal the respective one of the ceiling and the wall when said puff light is mounted to the ceiling and the wall; 
 a main light LED supporting band forward of said base board; 
 an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light LED supporting band; 
 reflective sheeting forward of said main light LED supporting band; 
 a light guide plate forward of each of said base board, said main light LED supporting band and said reflective sheeting; and 
 a diffusion plate forward of each of said base board, said main light supporting band, said reflective sheeting and said light guide plate. 
 
     
     
         52 . A light fixture according to  claim 51  and further comprising:
 a nightlight assembly rearward of said base board. 
 
     
     
         53 . A light fixture according to  claim 52  and further comprising an outer frame for attaching each of said diffusing plate, said light guide plate and said reflective sheeting to said base board. 
     
     
         54 . A light fixture according to  claim 52  wherein said nightlight assembly comprises a nightlight LED supporting band, and an array of LEDs attached to said nightlight LED supporting band for emitting LED nightlight emissions. 
     
     
         55 . A light fixture according to  claim 52  and further including a radiator plate adjacent said nightlight assembly for absorbing heat generated by said nightlight assembly. 
     
     
         56 . A light fixture according to  claim 55  and further including a diffusion plate in proximity to said nightlight assembly for diffusing nightlight emissions generated by said nightlight assembly. 
     
     
         57 . A light fixture according to  claim 51  wherein said array of main light LEDs generates main light LED light emissions, said main light LED light emissions being characterized by variable correlated color temperature in accordance with characteristics of electricity transmitted to said main light LEDs. 
     
     
         58 . A light fixture according to  claim 57  and further comprising electrical circuitry connected to said main light LEDs, said electrical circuitry being adjustable to vary the correlated color temperature of LED main light emissions of said main light array of LEDs. 
     
     
         59 . A light fixture according to  claim 57  wherein said electrical circuitry includes manually operable switching assembly for varying the correlated color temperature of said main light emissions. 
     
     
         60 . A light fixture according to  claim 58  wherein said manually operated switching assembly enables the variance of the correlated color temperature of said main light emissions by a selected number of discrete values. 
     
     
         61 . A light fixture according to  claim 56  and further including an upper cover for attaching said radiator plate and said nightlight assembly to said base board. 
     
     
         62 . A light fixture according to  claim 54  and further comprising a power supply module, said power supply module comprising electrical components of electricity being transmitted to said array of main light LEDs and to said array of LEDs attached to said nightlight LED supporting band. 
     
     
         63 . A light fixture according to  claim 1  wherein said light fixture is an LED ceiling/wall light with a nightlight. 
     
     
         64 . A light fixture according to  claim 63  said LED ceiling/wall light with a nightlight comprises:
 a base structure, said base structure having a rearward portion proximate a selected one of a ceiling and a wall when said LED ceiling/wall light with nightlight is mounted to a selected one of a ceiling and a wall, and wherein said base structure has a forward portion distal the selected one of a ceiling and a wall when said LED ceiling/wall light with a nightlight is mounted to a selected one of a ceiling and a wall; 
 a nightlight LED band adjacent the rearward side of said base structure; 
 an array of nightlight LEDs attached to said nightlight LED band; 
 a transmittance mask overlying and rearward of said nightlight LED band for treating and transmitting nightlight LED emissions generated by said array of nightlight LEDs; 
 a main light printed circuit board forward of said base structure; 
 an array of main light LEDs mounted on said printed circuit board; and 
 a diffuser forward of said main light printed circuit board, said diffuser being operatively attached to said base structure and enclosing said main light printed circuit board for transmitting main light LED light emission from said array of main light LEDs. 
 
     
     
         65 . A light fixture according to  claim 64  and further including an optical lens forward of and adjacent to said main light printed circuit board for directing main light LED light emissions through said diffuser. 
     
     
         66 . A light fixture according to  claim 65  wherein said optical lens is composed of an array of individual lenses for the respective main light nightlight LEDs. 
     
     
         67 . A light fixture according to  claim 65  wherein said base structure includes a forwardly extending recess configured to contain said nightlight printed circuit board. 
     
     
         68 . A light fixture according to  claim 67  wherein said transmittance mask is adjacent to said nightlight LED printed circuit board. 
     
     
         69 . A light fixture according to  claim 65  wherein said main light printed circuit board and said optical lens are attached to said base structure. 
     
     
         70 . A light fixture according to  claim 65  wherein said array of main light LED emissions is characterized by variable correlated color temperature in accordance with characteristics of electricity transmitted to said main light LEDs. 
     
     
         71 . A light fixture according to  claim 70  and further comprising electrical circuitry connected to said array of main light LEDs, said electrical circuitry being adjustable to vary the correlated color temperature of LED main light emissions of said array of main light LEDs. 
     
     
         72 . A light fixture according to  claim 71  wherein said electrical circuitry includes manually operable switching assembly for varying the correlated color temperature of said main light emissions. 
     
     
         73 . A light fixture according to  claim 72  wherein said manually operable switching assembly enables the variance of the correlated color temperature by a selected number of discrete values. 
     
     
         74 . An LED light fixture comprising:
 a nightlight assembly comprising:
 a nightlight mounting structure for being mounted to a first surface; 
 a nightlight operatively connected to said nightlight mounting structure, said nightlight including an array of nightlight LEDs for emitting nightlight illumination in response to receiving nightlight actuation electric power of characteristics for effecting nightlight illumination; and 
   nightlight electric circuitry for generating said nightlight actuating electric power to said array of nightlight LEDs to cause said nightlight LEDs to generate nightlight illumination; and   nightlight illumination guiding structure for guiding said nightlight illumination in a direction parallel to the first surface.   
     
     
         75 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 74  and further including a main light assembly for effecting the generation of main light illumination that does not interfere with said nightlight illumination. 
     
     
         76 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 74  wherein said array of nightlight LEDs emit LED nightlight light emissions having variable correlated color temperature in response to variations in the electricity received from said nightlight electric circuitry, wherein said nightlight electric circuitry comprises:
 a nightlight correlated color switching device for varying the electricity received from said nightlight electric circuitry, to change the illumination of said array of nightlight LEDs to vary the correlated color temperature of said LED nightlight emissions. 
 
     
     
         77 . An LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 75  wherein said main light assembly directs the main light illumination towards a second surface opposing the first surface. 
     
     
         78 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 77  wherein the first surface is a ceiling surface. 
     
     
         79 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 75  wherein the first surface is a first wall; and
 wherein the main light assembly effects the generation of main light illumination in a direction opposite to the first wall. 
 
     
     
         80 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 79  wherein the first wall is a ceiling, and the direction opposite to the first wall is a floor surface opposing the ceiling. 
     
     
         81 . An LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 75  wherein said main light assembly comprises:
 main light mounting structure for being operatively mounting said main light assembly to nightlight mounting structure; 
 a main light operatively attached to said main light mounting structure, said main light including an array of main light LEDs for emitting main light illumination in response to receiving main light actuation electric power of characteristics for effecting main light illumination; 
 main light electric circuitry for generating said main light actuation electric power to said main light to cause said main light to generate main light illumination; and 
 main light guiding structure for guiding said main light illumination in a direction not interfering with said nightlight illumination. 
 
     
     
         82 . A main light LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 81  wherein said main light guiding structure comprises a structure for directing main light illumination in a direction transverse to the direction of said nightlight illumination. 
     
     
         83 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 81  wherein said main light electric circuitry generates main light actuating electric power for changing the correlated color temperature of said illumination of said array of main light LEDs, and wherein said main light electric circuit comprise:
 a main light correlated color switching device operatively connected to said main light electric circuitry for varying the correlated color temperature of the illumination generated by said array of main light LEDs. 
 
     
     
         84 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 75  and further comprising:
 a housing for partially surrounding said LED light fixture to form a downlight, said housing being mountable in a can located in a selected one of a ceiling, a wall and the ground; 
 said nightlight assembly including nightlight electric circuitry, said nightlight electric circuitry being selectively actuable to effect the transmission of electric power to said array of nightlight LEDs to cause said array of nightlight LEDs to generate nightlight illumination. 
 
     
     
         85 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 84  and further comprising:
 main light electric circuitry for being selectively actuable to effect the transmission of electric power to said array of main light LEDs to cause said array of main light LEDs to generate main light illumination. 
 
     
     
         86 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 85  wherein each of said nightlight circuitry and said main light circuitry being independently actuable, each of said nightlight assembly and said main light assembly being operable to actuate selectively said downlight array of LEDs and to actuate selectively said main light array of LEDs one at a time and at the same time. 
     
     
         87 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 86  wherein said nightlight circuitry further includes:
 nightlight correlated color temperature electric components to provide nightlight lumination with variable correlated color temperature; and 
 a manually accessible switch disposed on said LED light fixture for selectively actuating said nightlight correlated color temperature components. 
 
     
     
         88 . An LED light fixture according to  claim 86  wherein said main light circuitry includes:
 main light correlated color temperature components to provide main light illumination with variable correlated color temperature; and 
 a manually accessible switch disposed on said LED light fixture for selectively actuating said main light correlated color temperature components. 
 
     
     
         89 . A downlight having a forward portion and rearward portion when said downlight is mounted on a ceiling, said downlight comprising:
 a main light portion including:
 a housing comprising:
 a truncated conical section having a relatively wide forward portion and a relatively narrow rearward portion, and 
 a heat sink located rearwardly of said truncated conical portion; 
 
 a driver box located rearwardly of said housing, said driver box sealing said housing to prevent the rearward passage of light through said housing; 
 a main light printed circuit board located in said housing 
 an outwardly facing support ring on the forward part of said housing; 
 an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light printed circuit board; 
 a reflector housing including reflecting surfaces forward of said printed circuit board for reflecting forwardly main light emitted by said array of main light LEDs; and 
 a diffuser for receiving and transmitting light from said array of main light LEDs and from said reflector; and 
 a nightlight portion including:
 a nightlight LED support located said outwardly facing support ring on the forward part of said housing; 
 an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on said nightlight LED support for emitting nightlight emissions parallel to the ceiling; and

An LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 91  wherein each of said nightlight circuitry and said main light circuitry being independently actuable, each of nightlight assembly and said main light assembly being operable both to actuate selectively said downlight array of LEDs and said main light array of LEDs one at a time and at the same time. 
     
     
         93 . An LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 75  and further comprising:
 a diffuser configured as a puff light. 
 
     
     
         94 . An LED ceiling light fixture according to  claim 93  and further comprising:
 main light electric circuitry for being selectively actuable to effect the transmission of electric power to said array of main light LEDs to cause said array of main light LEDs to generate main light illumination. 
 
     
     
         95 . A canless LED downlight with nightlight having a forward portion and a rearward portion when mounted on a ceiling, said canless LED downlight with nightlight comprising:
 a housing comprising a heat sink, said housing including a truncated body with a relatively narrow rear end portion and a relatively wide forward end portion;   a closure for closing said narrow rear end portion to the passage of light;   a main light printed circuit board mounted in said housing;   an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light printed circuit board for emitting main light LED emission forwardly from said main light printed circuit board;   a reflector located forwardly of said main light printed circuit board for reflecting main light emissions forwardly;   a diffuser located forwardly of said reflector for diffusing and reflective main light emissions received from said reflector and from said array of main light LEDs;   a transparent cover for holding a nightlight printed circuit board, said transparent cover being disposed on the forward exterior portion of said heat sink;   a printed circuit board in form of a band for holding an array of nightlight LEDs for emitting nightlight in a direction parallel to the ceiling;   a back board having rearwardly extending flanges for engaging and holding said heat sink in a stable position; and   spring structure for applying a biasing force between said heat sink and a supporting structure for holding said canless light in position against a support in proximity to the ceiling.   
     
     
         96 . An LED ceiling light with a nightlight having a forward portion and a rearward portion when said LED ceiling light with a nightlight is mounted on a ceiling, said LED ceiling light with a nightlight comprising:
 a base comprising:
 a forwardly facing base portion including:
 a receptacle for a switch cap and a device; and 
 support structure for a driver; 
 
 a rearwardly facing base portion, including a bracket attachment structure; and 
 a nightlight assembly support structure; 
   a driver received in said receptacle;   a switch cap received in said receptacle;   a driver cover for closing said receptacle;   a reflector plate proximate and forwardly of said forwardly facing base portion;   a light guide sheet disposed forwardly of said reflector plate;   a diffuser disposed forwardly of said light guide sheet;   a main light LED assembly disposed forwardly of said diffuser; and   an outer ring for receiving said main light LED assembly and securing said diffuser, said light guide sheet and said reflector plate to said base;   a bracket attached to said bracket structure and said rearwardly facing base portion;   a heating panel proximate said rearwardly facing base portion; said hearing panel including an annular ring with a central orifice;   a nightlight assembly being proximate said hearing panel, said nightlight assembly comprising an annular ring with a central orifice; and   a top cover receiving said nightlight cover and supporting said nightlight assembly proximate said heating panel, said top cover being in the form of an annular ring with a central orifice;   wherein said LED ceiling light is operatively attached to a junction box by holding said LED ceiling light with nightlight against a junction box with the junction box extending through each of said orifices.   
     
     
         97 . An LED-flushmount-ceiling-light-fixture-with-LED-nightlight having a forward portion and a rearward portion when said LED-flushmount-ceiling-light-fixture-with-LED-nightlight is mounted on a ceiling, said LED-flushmount-ceiling-light-fixture-with-LED-nightlight comprising:
 a-main-light-and-nightlight-positioning-lamp-base including:
 a main-light-and-nightlight-base-fixture comprising:
 an annular base component parallel with a ceiling when said LED-flushmount-ceiling-light-fixture-with-LED-nightlight is mounted a ceiling, said annular base component including:
 a forward, annular surface on the forward side of said annular base component; 
 a rearward, annular surface on the rearward side of said annular base component; and 
 a peripheral outer location of a said annular base component; and 
 
 a center cylindrical mounting section concentric with said annular base component and being recessed rearwardly from said forward annular surface, said center cylindrical mounting structure having a rearward side; and 
 a peripheral, cylindrical forwardly extending rim extending from said peripheral outer location of said annular base component; 
 a U-shaped printed circuit board with an array of main light LEDs mounted on the forward side of said printed circuit board, said U-shaped printed circuit board comprising:
 a pair of opposed printed circuit board legs defining a printed circuit board space between said opposed printed circuit board legs, said pair of opposed printed circuit board legs being disposed on opposite sides of said center cylindrical mounting structure; and 
 a printed circuit board cross-piece connecting said pair of printed circuit board legs; 
 wherein said printed circuit board legs are opposite sides of said center cylindrical mounting structure; and 
 
 a U-shaped optical lens adjacent to and forward of said U-shaped printed circuit board, said U-shaped optical lens being aligned with said U-shaped printed circuit board and comprising:
 a pair of opposed lens legs overlying said pair of opposed printed circuit board legs and being disposed on opposite sides of said center cylindrical mounting structure; and 
 a lens cross-piece connecting said pair of opposed lens legs; 
 wherein said lens legs are on opposite sides of said center cylindrical mounting structure, and 
 wherein said printed circuit board cross-piece and said lens cross-piece are aligned with each other; 
 a driver box containing a driver, said driver box being attached to the forward side of said center cylindrical mounting structure located between the respective legs of said printed circuit board and of said optical lens; 
 a diffuser being disposed forward of and coaxial with said main-light-and-nightlight-positioning-lamp base, said diffuser comprising: 
  a base portion and a rearwardly extending peripheral cylindrical rim aligned with and attached to said peripheral cylindrical forwardly extending rim of said main-light-and-nightlight-positioning-lamp-base, to form a closed compartment for containing said driver box containing said driver, said U-shaped optical lens and said U-shaped printed circuit board in the form of a cylindrical band coaxial with said annular base component and containing an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on the exterior surface of said board located on the rearward side of said center cylindrical section; 
  a nightlight printed circuit board in the form of a cylindrical band coaxial with said annular base component and containing an array of nightlight LEDs mounted on the exterior surface of said band, and located on the rearward side of said center cylindrical section; and 
  a generally cylindrical transparent lens-of-nightlight covering the exterior surface of said nightlight printed circuit board for treating nightlight transmissions passing through said lens of nightlight, wherein said array of the nightlight LEDs emit nightlight illumination directed parallel to the ceiling and passing through said transparent lens-of nightlight.

 a base board including a forward side, an opposing rearward side, and a circular periphery;   said forward side including:
 a centrally disposed, forwardly extending driver box receptacle comprising forwardly extending walls defining said driver box receptacle; 
 a set of forwardly facing walls including respectively planar forward walls terminating in flat surfaces collectively defining a first horizontal plane; 
 a switch cap disposed in said receptacle; 
 a driver disposed in said driver box receptacle; 
 a driver cover closing said driver box to enclose said driver in said driver box, said driver cover having a forward facing flat surface located in said first horizontal plane; 
 a cylindrical flat reflector plate proximate said first horizontal plane; 
 a cylindrical light guide sheet equal in size and being forward of and in contact with said cylindrical flat reflector plate; 
 a cylindrical diffuser equal in horizontal size and having a circular edge being forward of an in contact with said cylindrical flat guide sheet 
 a main light assembly composed of a band nearly cylindrical configuration and having an exterior side and being concentric with and rearwardly disposed with respect to said diffuser and forwardly disposed with respect to said base board, and an array of main light LEDs mounted on said exterior side to project LED main light illumination transverse to the ceiling; 
 an outer ring disposed forwardly of said main light assembly and holding the forward part of said main light assembly; 
 said forward ring being attached to said base for holding said respective driver box, reflector plate, light guide sheet and diffuser in operative arrangement;

 an annular heating panel concentric with a central heating panel orifice with and partially enclosing said cylindrical band for absorbing heat generated by said array of nightlight LEDs; and 
 an annular top cover with a central top cover orifice and being concentric with an proximate to said cylindrical band and said heat panel, and attached to said heating panel to secure said heating panel, and said cylindrical band to said base; and

 a base with a rearwardly extending interior portion and a rearwardly extending exterior portion, said base including:
 a cylindrical annular peripheral base rim with a free forward circular position and a rearward rim portion; 
 a rearwardly bowed annular portion extending rearwardly from said rearward rim portion to rear inner circular portion; 
 a flat, annular section extending between said rear inner portion to an inner circular portion, said flat, annular section being concentric with said rearwardly bowed annular portion; 
 a flat, annular center piece concentric extending from said inner circular portion to an axial orifice at the centre of said base, said center piece being concentric with said cylindrical, annular, peripheral rim, said rearwardly bowed annular portion, and said flat, annular section; and 
 a set of radially extending generally triangular flanges, extending between said cylindrical annular peripheral rim to said flat annular section; 
 wherein said flat annular center piece is recessed forwardly from said flat, annular section; 
   a driver box containing LED operating electronics is disposed in said recessed flat annular center piece;   a U-shaped printed circuit board having a forwardly set of main light LEDs is proximate to the interim side of said flat annular section, said U-shaped printed circuit board comprises a pair of opposed printed circuit board legs;   a U-shaped optical lens is located forwardly of said printed circuit board, said U-shaped optical lens comprises a pair of opposed optical lens legs overlying said respective printed circuit board legs, and said optical lens includes an array of optical lens components alighted with said respective array of main light LEDs for directing main light forwardly;   a lens comprising a forwardly bowed central portion and a rearwardly   a peripheral rim connected to said cylindrical annular peripheral base rim for enclosing said driver box containing said electrical components, said main light printed circuit board and said optical lens;   a nightlight cylindrical printed circuit board attached to the forward exterior side of said base, said nightlight cylindrical printed circuit board comprising an array of nightlight LEDs attached to the exterior facing side of said printed circuit board for emitting nightlight LED lumination parallel to the ceiling or wall; and   a cylindrical transmittance mask extending on the exterior side of said printed circuit board for performing transmittance functions on the LED lumination being transmitted therethrough.
