Abstract
A lens and/or a view screen of an electronic device having at least one case can be cleaned by wiping the view screen with a cleaning component wherein the cleaning component is configured to selectively couple to the at least one case or some other substrate using a magnetic attractive force. The cleaning devices may have secondary applications such as securing fly fishing lures, activating or deactivating a device having a magnetic switch, or preventing sunglasses from sinking. They may also be manufactured without a cleaning component for use with the secondary applications.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for cleaning a viewscreen of an electronic device having at least a first case and a second case comprising wiping the viewscreen with a cleaning component wherein:
the second case is configured to selectively couple to the first case using a magnetic attractive force; and when coupled, the cleaning component is protected between the first case and the second case.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the second case has a tab.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the first case is the primary case employed by the manufacturer to hold and protect the components of the electronic device.
4 . The method of claim 3 wherein the second case is a removable case that functions to protect the primary case.
5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the electronic device is selected from the group consisting of cell phones, smart phones, cameras, telescopes, weapon scopes, tablet computers, laptop computers, DVD players, computer monitors, televisions, and laboratory apparatuses.
6 . The method of claim 4 wherein the cleaning component is removably attached to the second case using magnetic attractive force. The method of claim 4 wherein the cleaning component is fixed to the second case.
8 . The method of claim 4 wherein the magnetic attractive force is provided by a rare earth magnet.
9 . The method of claim 6 wherein the magnetic attractive force is provided by a rare earth magnet.
9 . The method of claim 8 wherein the magnetic attractive force is sufficient to allow the first case and second case to remain coupled despite casual movements of the electronic device, but to still be easily removed by human operator.
10 . The method of claim 9 wherein the magnetic attractive force is sufficient to allow the cleaning component to remain coupled to the second case despite casual movements of the electronic device, but to still be easily removed by human operator.Cited by (0)
