Systems and methods for processing and transmitting sensor data
Abstract
Systems and methods for processing, transmitting and displaying data received from an analyte sensor, such as a glucose sensor, are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for transmitting data between a first communication device associated with an analyte sensor and a second communication device configured to provide user access to sensor-related information comprises: activating a transceiver of a first communication device associated with an analyte sensor at a first time; and establishing a two-way communication channel with the second communication device; wherein the activating comprises waking the transceiver from a low power sleep mode using a forced wakeup from the second communication device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 12 . (canceled)
13 . A system for monitoring analyte concentration data of a host, comprising:
a continuous analyte sensor; an analyte sensor system comprising a near field communication (NFC) transceiver and a sensor electronics module configured to electrically couple to the continuous analyte sensor; wherein the analyte sensor system is configured to generate analyte sensor data using the continuous analyte sensor; and a communication device comprising a NFC initiator and configured to transmit a communication signal to the analyte sensor system, wherein the communication signal includes sensor calibration information, and wherein the analyte sensor system is configured to receive the sensor calibration information via the NFC transceiver and use the information to calibrate analyte sensor data.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the communication device is configured to initiate the transmission of the communication signal responsive to receiving user input indicative of starting the transmission of the communication signal.
15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the analyte sensor system is configured to establish one or more communication links with one or more display devices using Bluetooth wireless protocol.
16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the analyte sensor system is configured to transmit estimated analyte value (EGV) that is calibrated using the calibration information to the one or more display devices.
17 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the communication device is configured to transmit the communication signal using an application installed in the communication device.Cited by (0)
