Message content management system

Abstract

Multi-media content for inclusion into an SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multi-media Message Service), IM (Instant Message) or other message type can be searched, pre-searches, fetched and pre-fetched based upon predictive- and rules-based searching techniques. A system can predict or infer an in-process message, for example, based upon a portion of the inputted text message. Thereafter, in real- or near real-time, content related to the topic of conversation can be retrieved from a local store, remote stores (e.g., servers) or cloud-based sources. The retrieved content can be incorporated into the SMS, MMS, or IM message as appropriate or desired thereby enhancing the messaging experience.

         21 . A system, comprising:
 a processor; and   a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations comprising:
 identifying a communication message between a first communication device and a second communication device, wherein the communication message comprises alpha-numeric characters; 
 parsing the communication message; 
 based at least in part on the parsing of the communication message, determining one or more keywords associated with the communication message; 
 transmitting a request for a search for content based at least in part on the one or more keywords; 
 receiving results of the search; 
 ranking the results based at least in part on relevance and a previous communication message between the first communication device and the second communication device, wherein the relevance is a measurement of how related the results are to the communication message; 
 generating instructions to present an electronic representation of at least a portion of the ranked results on the first communication device, wherein some or all of the ranked results are configured to be selected to be transmitted to the second communication device. 
   
     
     
         22 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the results are ranked based at least in part on timing data related to the communication message. 
     
     
         23 . The system of  claim 22 , wherein the timing data is indicative of a date on which the communication message has been received. 
     
     
         24 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the results are ranked based at least in part on classification data associated with the second communication device, wherein the second communication device receives the communication message from the first communication device. 
     
     
         25 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving the results from a network data store of a communication network coupled to the system.   
     
     
         26 . The system of  claim 25 , wherein the at least a portion of the ranked results are based on defined policy data. 
     
     
         27 . The system of  claim 25 , wherein the results comprises a media file and the at least a portion of the ranked results comprises the media file and are based on a ranking of media files that have been received from the network data store, and wherein the media files comprise the media file. 
     
     
         28 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 facilitating a transmission of an electronic representation of at least one result of the at least a portion of the ranked results and the communication message to the second communication device, wherein the second communication device receives the communication message from first communication device.   
     
     
         29 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the facilitating comprises facilitating the transmission in response to receiving authorization data via the first communication device. 
     
     
         30 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the results are ranked based at least in part on relationship data that represents a relationship between the first communication device and the second communication device. 
     
     
         31 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the communication message is parsed based at least in part on sender information, wherein the sender information comprises at least one of: identity, relationship to a recipient of the communication message, age, occupation, race, religion, or gender, and wherein the second information is associated with the first communication device. 
     
     
         32 . A method, comprising:
 identifying, by a system comprising a processor, a communication message between a first communication device and a second communication device, wherein the communication message comprises alpha-numeric characters;   parsing the communication message;   based on the parsing of the communication message, determining, by the system, one or more keywords associated with the communication message;   transmitting a request for a search for content based at least in part on the one or more keywords;   receiving results of the search;   ranking the results based on relevance and a previous communication message between the first communication device and the second communication device, wherein the relevance is a measurement of how related the results are to the communication message;   generating, by the system, instructions to present an electronic representation of at least a portion of the ranked results on the first communication device, wherein some or all of the ranked results are configured to be selected to be transmitted from the second communication device.   
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 32  further comprising:
 facilitating, by the system, a transmission of an electronic representation of at least one result of the portion of the ranked results and the communication message from the first communication device to a second communication device. 
 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 33 , wherein the facilitating comprises facilitating the transmission in response to receiving authorization data via an interface of the first communication device. 
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 33 , wherein the ranking the results is based at least in part on relationship data indicative of a relationship between a first identity associated with the first communication device and a second identity associated with the second communication device. 
     
     
         36 . The method of  claim 32 , wherein the one or more keywords is based at least in part on classification data associated with the second communication device. 
     
     
         37 . The method of  claim 32 , wherein the ranking the results is based at least in part on ranking data representing a rank assigned to each result of the results. 
     
     
         38 . The method of  claim 32 , wherein the parsing of the communication message is based at least in part on sender information, wherein the sender information comprises at least one of: identity, relationship to a recipient of the communication message, age, occupation, race, religion, or gender. 
     
     
         39 . A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
 identifying a communication message between a first communication device and a second communication device, wherein the communication message comprises alpha-numeric characters;   parsing the communication message;   based on the parsing of the communication message, determining one or more keywords associated with the communication message;   transmitting a request for a search for content based at least in part on the one or more keywords;   receiving results of the search;   ranking the results based on relevance and a previous communication message between the first communication device and the second communication device, wherein the relevance is a measurement of how related the results are to the communication message;   generating instructions to present an electronic representation of at least a portion of the ranked results on the first communication device, wherein some or all of the ranked results are configured to be selected to be transmitted to the second communication device.   
     
     
         40 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of  claim 39 , wherein the first communication device is a source communication device and the second communication is a destination communication device, and wherein the one or more keywords is determined based at least in part on information associated with the second communication device.
