Abstract

A golf tee tethering assembly for inhibiting a rubber mat tee from flying away during golf practice includes a rubber mat tee that is positionable on a rubber golfing mat to have a golf ball positioned thereon for striking. A washer is positioned around the rubber mat tee and a tether is coupled to the washer. A fastener is coupled to the tether on an opposite end of the tether from the ring. The fastener releasably engages a shaft of a golf club such that the rubber mat tee is retained on the golf club. The golf club is laid on the rubber golf mat and the rubber mat tee is positioned at a chosen spot on the rubber golf mat. Thus, the tether inhibits the rubber mat tee from flying away when the golf ball is struck from the rubber mat tee.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A golf tee tethering assembly comprising:
a rubber mat tee, having a planar bottom surface being positionable on a top surface of a rubber golfing mat wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon for striking; a washer being positioned around said rubber mat tee; a tether being coupled to said washer; and a fastener being coupled to said tether on an opposite end of said tether from said ring, said fastener releasably engaging a shaft of a golf club wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to be retained on the golf club, wherein the golf club is laid on the rubber golf mat and having the rubber mat tee being positioned at a chosen spot on the rubber golf mat, wherein said tether inhibits said rubber mat tee from flying away when the golf ball is struck from said rubber mat tee.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said rubber mat tee having a base and a stem extending upwardly from said base, said base having a lower surface and a top surface, said lower surface resting on the rubber golfing mat when said rubber mat tee is placed on the rubber golfing mat, said stem extending upwardly from said top surface, said stem having a distal end with respect to said top surface, said distal end being open wherein said distal end is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon having the golf ball being stationary on said distal end; and said washer has an opening extending therethrough, said washer being positioned on said rubber mat tee having said stem extending through said opening and having said washer lying on said base.

3 . A golf tee tethering assembly comprising:
a rubber mat tee, having a planar bottom surface being positionable on a top surface of a rubber golfing mat wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon for striking, said rubber mat tee having a base and a stem extending upwardly from said base, said base having a lower surface and a top surface, said lower surface resting on the rubber golfing mat when said rubber mat tee is placed on the rubber golfing mat, said stem extending upwardly from said top surface, said stem having a distal end with respect to said top surface, said distal end being open wherein said distal end is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon having the golf ball being stationary on said distal end; a washer being positionable around said rubber mat tee, said washer having an opening extending therethrough, said washer being positioned on said rubber mat tee having said stem extending through said opening and having said washer lying on said base; a tether being coupled to said washer; and a fastener being coupled to said tether on an opposite end of said tether from said ring, said fastener releasably engaging a shaft of a golf club wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to be retained on the golf club, wherein the golf club is laid on the rubber golf mat and having the rubber mat tee being positioned at a chosen spot on the rubber golf mat, wherein said tether inhibits said rubber mat tee from flying away when the golf ball is struck from said rubber mat tee, said fastener being coupled to said second end of said tether.

4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising:
a ring extending through said washer such that said ring is coupled to said washer; and said tether being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material, said tether having a first end and a second end, said first end being coupled to said ring, said fastener being coupled to said second end of said tether.

5 . A golf tee tethering assembly comprising:
a rubber mat tee, having a planar bottom surface being positionable on a top surface of a rubber golfing mat wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon for striking, said rubber mat tee having a base and a stem extending upwardly from said base, said base having a lower surface and a top surface, said lower surface resting on the rubber golfing mat when said rubber mat tee is placed on the rubber golfing mat, said stem extending upwardly from said top surface, said stem having a distal end with respect to said top surface, said distal end being open wherein said distal end is configured to have a golf ball positioned thereon having the golf ball being stationary on said distal end; a washer being positionable around said rubber mat tee, said washer having an opening extending therethrough, said washer being positioned on said rubber mat tee having said stem extending through said opening and having said washer lying on said base; a ring extending through said washer such that said ring is coupled to said washer; a tether being coupled to said ring, said tether being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material, said tether having a first end and a second end, said first end being coupled to said ring; and a fastener being coupled to said tether on an opposite end of said tether from said ring, said fastener releasably engaging a shaft of a golf club wherein said rubber mat tee is configured to be retained on the golf club, wherein the golf club is laid on the rubber golf mat and having the rubber mat tee being positioned at a chosen spot on the rubber golf mat, wherein said tether inhibits said rubber mat tee from flying away when the golf ball is struck from said rubber mat tee, said fastener being coupled to said second end of said tether.
