Abstract
The present invention concerns a detergent comprising a polypeptide having galactanase activity. It further concerns a laundering method and the use of galactanases. The present invention further relates to polypeptides having galactanase activity, nucleotides encoding the polypeptide, as well as methods of producing the polypeptides.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 14 . (canceled)
15 . A polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide having endo-beta-1,6-galactanase activity, selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2; (b) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide that hybridizes under medium stringency conditions with (i) the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, or (ii) the full-length complement of (i); (c) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; (d) a variant of the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion at one or more positions; and (e) a fragment of the polypeptide of (a), (b), (c), or (d) that has endo-beta-1,6-galactanase activity.
16 . A nucleic acid construct or expression vector comprising the polynucleotide of claim 15 operably linked to one or more control sequences that direct the production of the polypeptide in an expression host.
17 . A recombinant host cell comprising the polynucleotide of claim 15 operably linked to one or more control sequences that direct the production of the polypeptide.
18 . A method of producing a polypeptide having endo-beta-1,6-galactanase activity, selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2; (b) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide that hybridizes under medium stringency conditions with (i) the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, or (ii) the full-length complement of (i); (c) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; (d) a variant of the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion at one or more positions; and (e) a fragment of the polypeptide of (a), (b), (c), or (d) that has endo-beta-1,6-qalactanase activity, comprising cultivating a cell, which in its wild-type form produces the polypeptide, under conditions conducive for production of the polypeptide.
19 . A method of producing a polypeptide having endo-beta-1,6-galactanase activity, comprising cultivating the host cell of claim 17 under conditions conducive for production of the polypeptide.
20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising recovering the polypeptide.
21 . A whole broth formulation or cell culture composition comprising a polypeptide having endo-beta-1,6-galactanase activity, selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2; (b) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide that hybridizes under medium stringency conditions with (i) the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, or (ii) the full-length complement of (i); (c) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; (d) a variant of the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion at one or more positions; and (e) a fragment of the polypeptide of (a), (b), (c), or (d) that has endo-beta-1,6-qalactanase activity.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
