Pre-cut strips of kinesiology tape
Abstract
A pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape comprises a fabric. The fabric includes a weave of fibers, where the fibers include an elastic fiber covered by a covering material. The fabric also includes a first end and a second end, where the second end is opposite the first end. The fabric further includes one or more rounded corners. The pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape also includes a longitudinal cut in the fabric. The longitudinal cut passes through at least a portion of the fabric and extends from the first end to a predetermined distance from the second end. The pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape also includes adhesive on a first surface of the fabric, where the adhesive is configured to adhere the fabric to a human body.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . A strip of tape comprising:
a fabric comprising a weave of fibers providing for elasticity along a length of the strip of tape and inelasticity across a width of the strip of tape; and an adhesive on a first surface of the fabric and defining a plurality of waves, each wave of the plurality of waves extending along the length of the strip of tape and comprising a wave pattern with modified peaks relative to a baseline sine wave, the modified peaks including sharper peaks than peaks of the baseline sine wave.
2 . The strip of tape of claim 1 , wherein the fabric includes elastic fibers extending through a length thereof and inelastic fibers extending across a width thereof.
3 . The strip of tape of claim 2 , wherein the elastic fibers include elastic cores and a covering.
4 . The strip of tape of claim 1 , wherein the fabric is rolled.
5 . The strip of tape of claim 1 , comprising a backing covering the adhesive on the first surface of the fabric.
6 . The strip of tape of claim 5 , comprising a series of perforations in the backing and extending across the width of the strip of tape.
7 . The strip of tape of claim 6 , wherein the series of perforations is superimposed with the fabric.
8 . The strip of tape of claim 5 , wherein the fabric is cut into a plurality of segments arranged end-to-end.
9 . The strip of tape of claim 8 , wherein each segment of the plurality of segments includes at least one longitudinal cut in the fabric.
10 . The strip of tape of claim 9 , wherein the at least one longitudinal cut extends through the fabric but not completely through the backing.
11 . The strip of tape of claim 8 , wherein each segment of the plurality of segments includes a logo visually identifying a first end of each of the segment.
12 . The strip of tape of claim 11 , wherein the logo is defined by a reflective dye.
13 . A set of pre-cut strips of tape, each pre-cut strip of the set comprising:
a fabric including a weave of fibers, including elastic fibers extending along a length of the pre-cut strip and inelastic fibers extending across a width of the pre-cut strip; an adhesive on a surface of the fabric so as to define a plurality of waves, each wave of the plurality of waves extending along the length of the strip of tape and comprising a wave pattern with modified peaks relative to a baseline sine wave, the modified peaks including sharper peaks than peaks of the baseline sine wave; and a backing covering the adhesive.
14 . The set of pre-cut strips of tape of claim 13 , wherein adjacent pre-cut strips of the set are arranged end-to-end on the backing and are separate from one another.
15 . The set of pre-cut strips of tape of claim 14 , wherein the backing is exposed between the adjacent pre-cut strips.
16 . The set of pre-cut strips of tape of claim 13 , further comprising:
a series of perforations extending across a width of the backing and superimposed over each pre-cut strip of the set.
17 . The set of pre-cut strips of tape of claim 14 , wherein each pre-cut strip of the set includes at least one longitudinal cut through the fabric without severing the backing.
18 . A roll of pre-cut strips of kinesiology tape, comprising:
a plurality of pre-cut strips, each pre-cut strip of the plurality of pre-cut strips comprising:
a fabric including a weave of fibers, including elastic fibers extending along a length of the pre-cut strip and inelastic fibers extending across a width of the pre-cut strip;
an adhesive on a surface of the fabric so as to define a plurality of waves; and
a backing covering the adhesive
adjacent pre-cut strips of the plurality of pre-cut strips being arranged end-to-end on the backing and being separate from each other, with the backing exposed between adjacent ends of the adjacent pre-cut strips.
19 . The roll of pre-cut strips of kinesiology tape of claim 18 , further comprising:
a series of perforations in the backing and extending across a width of the backing at a location corresponding to each pre-cut strip.
20 . The roll of pre-cut strips of kinesiology tape of claim 19 , wherein the series of perforations is superimposed over a pre-cut strip of the plurality of pre-cut strips.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
