Abstract

Described herein is dosage of foam including from about 5 cm 3 to about 70 cm 3 of the foam. The foam includes from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant; from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant; a foam density of from about 0.04 g/cm 3 to about 0.23 g/cm 3 ; and a bubble size distribution having an R 32 of from about 30 μm to about 60 μm.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A dosage of foam shampoo comprising:
 a. from about 5 cm 3  to about 150 cm 3  of the foam; wherein the foam comprises:
 i. a detersive surfactant system comprising:
 1. from about 15 wt. % to about 30 wt. % anionic surfactant; 
 2. from about 2 wt. % to about 12 wt. % zwitterionic surfactant; 
 
 ii. from about 45 wt. % to about 78 wt. % water; 
 iii. a foam density of from about 0.04 g/cm 3  to about 0.23 g/cm 3 ; 
 iv. a plurality of bubbles comprising a bubble size distribution comprising an having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 30 μm to about 60 μm as measured 
 v. according to the Kruss Lather Analyzer Method. 
   
     
     
         2 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of bubbles comprises a bubble size distribution having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 10 μm to about 50 μm. 
     
     
         3 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of bubbles comprises a bubble size distribution having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 30 μm to about 50 μm. 
     
     
         4 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , comprising a yield point of from about 15 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         5 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the volume of the dosage of foam is from about 10 g/cm 3  to about 50 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         6 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.06 g/cm 3  to about 0.23 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         7 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.06 g/cm 3  to about 0.15 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         8 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the anionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of sodium undecyl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauroyl isethionate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium laurethsulfosuccinate, sodium laurylsulfosuccinate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         9 . The dosage of foam of  claim 1  wherein the zwitterionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of lauramidopropyl betaine, cocoamidopropyl betaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, sodium lauroamphoacetate, coco monoethanolamide and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         10 . A dosage of foam shampoo comprising:
 a. from about 5 cm 3  to about 150 cm 3  of the foam; wherein the foam comprises:
 i. a detersive surfactant system comprising:
 1. from about 15 wt. % to about 30 wt. % anionic surfactant surfactant is selected from the group consisting of sodium undecyl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauroyl isethionate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium laurethsulfosuccinate, sodium laurylsulfosuccinate, and mixtures thereof; 
 2. from about 2 wt. % to about 12 wt. % zwitterionic surfactant zwitterionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of lauramidopropyl betaine, cocoamidopropyl betaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, sodium lauroamphoacetate, coco monoethanolamide and mixtures thereof; 
 
 ii. from about 45 wt. % to about 78 wt. % water; 
 iii. a foam density of from about 0.04 g/cm 3  to about 0.23 g/cm 3 ; and 
 iv. a plurality of bubbles comprising a bubble size distribution having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 10 μm to about 60 μm as measured according to the Kruss Lather Analyzer Method. 
   
     
     
         11 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , wherein the plurality of bubbles comprises a bubble size distribution having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 30 μm to about 50 μm. 
     
     
         12 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , wherein the plurality of bubbles comprises a bubble size distribution having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 30 μm to about 45 μm. 
     
     
         13 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , comprising a yield point of from about 15 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         14 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , wherein the volume of the dosage of foam is from about 10 g/cm 3  to about 50 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         15 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.06 g/cm 3  to about 0.23 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         16 . The dosage of foam of  claim 10 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.06 g/cm 3  to about 0.15 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         17 . A dosage of foam shampoo comprising:
 a. from about 5 cm 3  to about 150 cm 3  of the foam; wherein the foam comprises:
 i. a detersive surfactant system comprising:
 1. from about 10 wt. % to about 30 wt. % anionic surfactant; 
 2. from about 2 wt. % to about 12 wt. % zwitterionic surfactant; 
 
 ii. from about 45 wt. % to about 78 wt. % water; 
 iii. a foam density of from about 0.04 g/cm 3  to about 0.23 g/cm 3 ; 
 iv. a plurality of bubbles comprising a bubble size distribution comprising an having a Sauter mean radius R 32  of from about 30 μm to about 60 μm as measured according to the Kruss Lather Analyzer Method. 
   
     
     
         18 . The dosage of foam of  claim 17 , wherein the anionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of sodium undecyl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauroyl isethionate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium laurethsulfosuccinate, sodium laurylsulfosuccinate, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         19 . The dosage of foam of  claim 17  wherein the zwitterionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of lauramidopropyl betaine, cocoamidopropyl betaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, sodium lauroamphoacetate, coco monoethanolamide and mixtures thereof.
