Light tube and power supply circuit
Abstract
A replacement light tube for replacing a fluorescent light tube includes a bulb portion extending between a first end and a second end, the bulb portion comprising a support structure, a plurality of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an elongate light-transmissive cover. The support structure has a first surface extending between the first end and the second end. The plurality of LEDs are supported by the first surface and arranged between the first end and the second end. The elongate light-transmissive cover extends between the first end and the second end and over the first surface of the support structure. A first end cap and a second end cap are disposed on the first end and the second end, respectively, each configured to fit with a socket for a fluorescent light tube. A power supply circuit is configured to provide power to the plurality of LEDs. The plurality of LEDs are arranged to emit light through the elongate light-transmissive cover and at least a portion of the power supply circuit is packaged inside at least one of the end caps.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 20 . (canceled)
21 . A light fixture comprising:
a socket; a bracket extending from the socket, wherein the socket comprises a support beam, and a first arm and a second arm extending from the support beam, and wherein the bracket is configured to receive a light emitting diode (LED) replacement light tube and secure the LED replacement light tube with respect to the socket.
22 . The light fixture of claim 21 , wherein the bracket is configured to mate with an end of the LED replacement light tube.
23 . The light fixture of claim 21 , wherein an interior surface of the first arm and the second arm define an arced profile.
24 . The light fixture of claim 21 , further comprising a inductive transmitter configured to receive electrical power from a power source and transmit at least a portion of the electrical power inductively to a inductive receiver of the LED replacement light tube.
25 . The light fixture of claim 21 , wherein the inductive transmitter is configured to magnetically link to the inductive receiver of the LED replacement light tube.
26 . A light fixture comprising:
a socket having a female connector, wherein the female connector defines a circular first channel, a second channel extending from the first channel, and a third channel extending from the first channel, wherein the female connector is configured to receive a light emitting diode (LED) replacement light tube and secure the LED replacement light tube with respect to the socket.
27 . The light fixture of claim 26 , wherein the first channel, the second channel, and the third channel are defined on a planar surface of the socket.
28 . The light fixture of claim 27 , wherein the first channel is defined along an interior portion of the planar surface.
29 . The light fixture of claim 28 , wherein the first channel extends from the interior portion of the planar surface to an outer edge of the planar surface.
30 . The light fixture of claim 29 , wherein the second channel extends from the interior portion of the planar surface to the outer edge of the planar surface.
31 . The light fixture of claim 30 , wherein the outer edge of the planar surface is curved.Cited by (0)
