Abstract

Various embodiments include a method and system for high-volume distributed script error report handling. A group of user terminals may be selected to report errors, where the group of user terminals is a subset of user terminals having open user session and the group of user terminals is smaller than a predetermined threshold value. An error report, generated by a user terminal in response to a script error, may then be received, where the user terminal is in the group of user terminals selected to report errors. The received error report may then be processed to create a processed error report. The processed error report may then be presented to a service user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method comprising:
detecting, during open sessions of a group of user terminals, one or more errors in a program distributed across the group of user terminals; determining that a number of the errors within a defined amount of time exceeds a threshold; and generating a notification based on the determination that the number of the errors within the defined amount of time exceeds the threshold.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the notification is an alert.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the errors are aggregated by an error type.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the notification is a visual alert or an email alert.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating an error report.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the error report includes stack traces.

7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the error report includes aggregated error report data.

         8 . A system comprising:
one or more processors; and one or more memories storing instructions that configure the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
 detecting, during open sessions of a group of user terminals, one or more errors in a program distributed across the group of user terminals;
determining that a number of the errors within a defined amount of time exceeds a threshold; and
generating a notification based on the determination that the number of the errors within the defined amount of time exceeds the threshold.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the notification is an alert.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the errors are aggregated by an error type.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the notification is a visual alert or an email alert.

12 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that configure the one or more processors to perform operations comprising generating an error report.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the error report includes stack traces.

14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the error report includes aggregated error report data.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when the instructions are executed by a processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:
detecting, during open sessions of a group of user terminals, one or more errors in a program distributed across the group of user terminals; determining that a number of the errors within a defined amount of time exceeds a threshold; and generating a notification based on the determination that the number of the errors within the defined amount of time exceeds the threshold.

16 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the notification is an alert.

17 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the errors are aggregated by an error type.

18 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the notification is a visual alert or an email alert.

19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when the instructions are executed by a processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising generating an error report.

20 . The computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the error report includes aggregated error report data.
