Premises Management Systems
Abstract
A method is disclosed for remote monitoring of a premises, comprising the steps of operatively coupling a geographically remote client to a security system server which is capable of authenticating a user of the remote client, operatively coupling the remote client to a security gateway which is capable of managing the monitoring of the premises, activating a signal at the premises for notifying an occupant at the premises that remote monitoring is occurring, and transferring information between the security gateway and the remote client. The transfer of information between the security gateway and the remote client is controlled by the user of the remote client. The security gateway may be operably coupled to at least one camera at the premises and to at least one audio station at the premises.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
determining, by a first computing device located at a premises and based on data from a sensor located at the premises, an alarm event; determining premises device data, associated with at least one of a camera device or an audio device located at the premises, from before the alarm event; and sending, to a second computing device located external to the premises, at least one indication indicating the alarm event and the premises device data.
2 . The method of claim 1 , comprising determining premises device data, associated with at least one of the camera device or the audio device, from after the alarm event;
wherein the sending the indication of the alarm event and the premises device data comprises sending the data from the sensor, the premises device data from prior to the alarm event, and the premises device data from after the alarm event.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the alarm event comprises an indication of at least one of a time of the alarm event, a location of the alarm event, or a type of the sensor.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sending the indication of the alarm event and the premises device data comprises at least one of:
sending the premises device data for verification of the alarm event; causing output of the premises device data to a user; or causing the premises device data to be stored.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second computing device comprises at least one of a user device or a monitoring agent device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a motion sensor.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the premises device data from prior to the alarm event comprises data cached to the first computing device based on an arming of a system located at the premises.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the premises device data from prior to the alarm event comprises premises device data associated with a predetermined time prior to a time associated with the alarm event.
9 . The method of claim 1 , comprising determining the at least one of the camera device or the audio device based on the at least one of the camera device or the audio device being at a location associated with the alarm event.
10 . A first computing device located at a premises comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
determine, based on data from a sensor located at the premises, an alarm event;
determine premises device data, associated with at least one of a camera device or an audio device located at the premises, from before the alarm event; and
send, to a second computing device located external to the premises, at least one indication indicating the alarm event and the premises device data.
11 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the first computing device to determine premises device data, associated with at least one of the camera device or the audio device, from after the alarm event;
wherein the instructions that cause the first computing device to send the indication of the alarm event and the premises device data cause the first computing device to send the data from the sensor, the premises device data from prior to the alarm event, and the premises device data from after the alarm event.
12 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the indication of the alarm event comprises an indication of at least one of a time of the alarm event, a location of the alarm event, or a type of the sensor.
13 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions that, when executed, cause the first computing device to send the indication of the alarm event and the premises device data cause the first computing device to at least one of:
send the premises device data for verification of the alarm event; cause output of the premises device data to a user; or cause the premises device data to be stored.
14 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the second computing device comprises at least one of a user device or a monitoring agent device.
15 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the sensor comprises a motion sensor.
16 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the premises device data from prior to the alarm event comprises data cached to the first computing device based on an arming of a system located at the premises.
17 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the premises device data from prior to the alarm event comprises premises device data associated with a predetermined time prior to a time associated with the alarm event.
18 . The first computing device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the first computing device to determine the at least one of the camera device or the audio device based on the at least one of the camera device or the audio device being at a location associated with the alarm event.
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
determining, by a first computing device located at a premises and based on data from a sensor located at the premises, an alarm event; determining premises device data, associated with at least one of a camera device or an audio device located at the premises, from before the alarm event; and sending, to a second computing device located external to the premises, at least one indication indicating the alarm event and the premises device data.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause determining premises device data, associated with at least one of the camera device or the audio device, from after the alarm event;
wherein the sending the indication of the alarm event and the premises device data comprises sending the data from the sensor, the premises device data from prior to the alarm event, and the premises device data from after the alarm event.Cited by (0)
