Finger-wearable mobile communication device
Abstract
A mobile communication device configured to be worn on an index finger of a user's hand. The device includes a case, a microphone, a switch, and a power source. The microphone and the switch are strategically located along a shape of the case so that as worn on the user's index finger and when the switch is activated by the thumb of the user's hand, the hand naturally cups about the microphone to form a barrier to ambient noise. Further, the microphone can readily be located near a corner of the user's mouth for optimal speech-receiving conditions and to provide more private audio input.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A mobile communication device comprising:
a case sized and shaped for placement over a user's index finger, the case defining a passage having a central axis; a microphone carried by the case, and defining a sound receiving side; a switch carried by the case and defining an actuation surface, wherein the switch is electronically linked to the microphone, and further wherein the device is configured to activate the microphone in response to user interface with the actuation surface; wherein the sound receiving side and the actuation surface are located along an outer face of the case, circumferentially spaced from each other; and further wherein an angle defined by a first line intersecting the central axis and the sound receiving side and a second line intersecting the central axis and a center point of the actuation surface is in the range of 25°-110°; a wireless electrical component carried by the case; and a power source carried by the case.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
