Survival kits

Abstract

Survival kits are provided with multiple detachable tool components, including a spear tip and a plurality of detachable fishing hooks. In some instances, the survival kits also include a serrated saw. Some survival kits are formed into a planar card shape.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A survival kit comprising:
 a spear tip; and   a plurality of fishing hooks that are detachably connected to the spear tip, each fishing hook comprising (1) an eyelet end for affixing the fishing hook to a line and (2) an end with one or more barbed points.   
     
     
         2 . The survival kit of  claim 1 , wherein the spear tip comprises a plurality of holes formed in the spear tip. 
     
     
         3 . The survival kit of  claim 1 , further comprising a serrated saw attached to the spear tip. 
     
     
         4 . The survival kit of  claim 1 , wherein the eyelet end of a first fishing hook of the plurality of fishing hooks is positioned on a first side of the spear tip and the eyelet end of a second fishing hook of the plurality of fishing hooks is positioned on a second side of the spear tip. 
     
     
         5 . The survival kit of  claim 1 , wherein at least a first of the plurality of fishing hooks comprises only a single barbed point and at least a second of the plurality of fishing hooks comprises two barbed points. 
     
     
         6 . The survival kit of  claim 5 , wherein at least two of the plurality of fishing hooks are each configured with only a single barbed point and at least two additional fishing hooks of the plurality of fishing hooks are each configured with two barbed points. 
     
     
         7 . A survival kit comprising:
 a substantially rigid and planar card body including a plurality of tools that are removable from the portable tool kit, the plurality of tools including:
 a serrated saw having a plurality of teeth; 
 a spear tip that is detachably connected to the serrated saw; and 
 a plurality of detachable fishing hooks that are detachably connected to the serrated saw, each detachable fishing hook comprising an eyelet end for affixing the detachable fishing hook to a line and an end with one or more barbed points. 
   
     
     
         8 . The survival kit of  claim 7 , wherein the spear tip comprises a plurality of holes formed in the spear tip. 
     
     
         9 . The survival kit of  claim 7 , wherein at least one of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks is detachably connected to both the serrated saw and the spear tip. 
     
     
         10 . The survival kit of  claim 7 , wherein the eyelet end of at least one of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks is positioned between the teeth of the serrated saw. 
     
     
         11 . The survival kit of  claim 7 , wherein at least a first detachable fishing hook of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks comprises only a single barbed point and at least a second of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks comprises two barbed points. 
     
     
         12 . The survival kit of  claim 11 , wherein at least two of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks are each configured with only a single barbed point and at least two additional detachable fishing hooks of the plurality of detachable fishing hooks are each configured with two barbed points. 
     
     
         13 . A survival kit comprising:
 a card body that is substantially rigid and planar;   a spear tip that is detachably connected to the card body;   a first fishing hook that is detachably connected to the card body; and   a second fishing hook that is detachably connected to the card body.   
     
     
         14 . The survival kit of  claim 13 , wherein the first fishing hook comprises an eyelet end for affixing the first fishing hook to a line and an end with a barbed point, the first fishing hook being attached to the card body on a first side of the spear tip. 
     
     
         15 . The survival kit of  claim 13 , wherein the second fishing hook comprises an eyelet end for affixing the second fishing hook to a line and an end with a barbed point, the second fishing hook being attached to the card body on a second side of the spear tip. 
     
     
         16 . The survival kit of  claim 13 , further comprising:
 a serrated saw that is detachably connected to the spear tip, the first fishing hook and the second fishing hook.
