Abstract

A device for recording user operation data for a remotely controlled vehicle includes a memory configured to record user operation data. The user operation data is associated with a specific user of the remotely controlled vehicle and includes outgoing operation commands that affect operation of the remotely controlled vehicle. The outgoing operation commands is transmitted to the remotely controlled vehicle and received via a remote controller of the remotely controlled vehicle.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A device for recording user operation data for a remotely controlled vehicle, the device comprising:
 a memory configured to record user operation data;   wherein:
 the user operation data is associated with a specific user of the remotely controlled vehicle and includes outgoing operation commands that affect operation of the remotely controlled vehicle; and 
   the outgoing operation commands is transmitted to the remotely controlled vehicle and received via a remote controller of the remotely controlled vehicle.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the device is configured to recognize an identity of the specific user entering the outgoing operation commands, and associate the user operation data with the specific user using the identity of the specific user. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 2 , wherein recognizing the identity of the specific user includes providing user authentication for the specific user. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 3 , wherein the device is further configured to begin recording the user operation data once the specific user has been authenticated, and end recording when the user authentication is terminated. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the user operation data for the specific user is configured to be distinguished from data for other users via at least one of physically separated storage regions or digital means. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the user operation data further comprises at least one of a location of the specific user or an identification of the remotely controlled vehicle. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the user operation data is associated with a corresponding time. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the memory is configured to record data continuously or periodically at pre-determined intervals. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the device is further configured to upload the user operation data to a database in a management center via a secure connection. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 9 , wherein uploading of the user operation data is performed periodically at pre-set intervals or is performed when the device is alerted that one or more accident conditions are detected. 
     
     
         11 . A system for recording operation data for a remotely controlled vehicle, the system comprising:
 a vehicle operation data recorder including a memory configured to record vehicle operation data, the vehicle operation data including incoming operation commands that affect operation of the remotely controlled vehicle, and the incoming operation commands being received via a remote controller of the remotely controlled vehicle; and   the device of  claim 1 .   
     
     
         12 . A remote controller for controlling operation of a remotely controlled vehicle, the remote controller comprising:
 a user interface configured to receive outgoing operation commands that affect the operation of the remotely controlled vehicle and control the operation of the remotely controlled vehicle;   a recorder including a memory configured to record user operation data associated with a specific user of the remotely controlled vehicle, the user operation data including the outgoing operation commands; and   a communication module configured to transmit the outgoing operation commands from the remote controller to the remotely controlled vehicle.   
     
     
         13 . A method of recording user operation data for a remotely controlled vehicle, the method comprising:
 receiving, using a user interface of a remote controller, outgoing operation commands, the remote controller including a user operation data recorder; and   recording user operation data to a memory of the user operation data recorder, the user operation data including the outgoing operation commands and being associated with a specific user of the remotely controlled vehicle.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , further comprising:
 recognizing, by the user operation data recorder, an identity of the specific user entering the outgoing operation commands; and   associating, by the user operation data recorder, the user operation data with the specific user using the identity of the specific user.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein recognizing the identity of the specific user includes providing user authentication for the specific user. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 beginning, by the user operation data recorder, recording the user operation data once the specific user has been authenticated; and   end, by the user operation data recorder, recording when the user authentication is terminated.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the user operation data for the specific user is configured to be distinguished from data for other users via at least one of physically separated storage regions or digital means. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the user operation data is associated with a corresponding time. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 13 , further comprising:
 uploading the user operation data to a database in a management center via a secure connection.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein uploading of the user operation data is performed periodically at pre-set intervals or is performed when the device is alerted that one or more accident conditions are detected.
