Composition for treating atopy or pruritus containing n-acetyl or n-acylamino acid

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating pruritus and/or atopy using an N-acetylamino acid or an N-acylamino acid having almost no side effects on the human body. Also, the present disclosure relates to a cosmetic composition for moisturizing skin or soothing skin. The composition of the present disclosure may be utilized to ameliorate a problematic skin condition caused by various causes, or to safely and effectively alleviate or treat pruritus and/or atopy without concern about side effects.

1 . A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating atopy or pruritus, comprising an N-acetylamino acid, an N-acylamino acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.

         4 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the N-acetylamino acid is one or more amino acid selected from a group consisting of N-acetylalanine, N-acetylthreonine, N-acetylarginine and N-acetyltryptophan. 
     
     
         5 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 4 , wherein the N-acetylamino acid is one or more amino acid selected from a group consisting of N-acetyl-L-alanine, N-acetyl-L-threonine, N-acetyl-L-arginine and N-acetyl-L-tryptophan. 
     
     
         6 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyltryptophan or N-acylalanine. 
     
     
         7 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 6 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyl-L-tryptophan or N-acyl-L-alanine.

The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the pruritus is selected from a group consisting of vulvar pruritus, vaginal pruritus, paroxysmal pruritus, winter pruritus, anal pruritus, scrotal pruritus, aquagenic pruritus, scalp pruritus, nasal pruritus, oral pruritus and ocular pruritus. 
     
     
         9 . The pharmaceutical composition according to any of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is prepared into a formulation selected from a group consisting of a formulation for external application to skin, an aerosol, a spray, a collyrium, an oral medication and an injection. 
     
     
         10 . A food composition for preventing or improving atopy or pruritus, comprising an N-acetylamino acid, an N-acylamino acid or a sitologically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.

         13 . A cosmetic composition for moisturizing skin or soothing skin, comprising an N-acetylamino acid, an N-acylamino acid or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. 
     
     
         14 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 13 , wherein the cosmetic composition improves one or more skin condition selected from a group consisting of skin dryness, edema, erythema, inflammation, eschar, abrasion and lichenification. 
     
     
         15 . A cosmetic composition for preventing or improving atopy or pruritus, comprising an N-acetylamino acid, an N-acylamino acid or a cosmetically acceptable salt as an active ingredient.

         18 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 13 , wherein the N-acetylamino acid is one or more amino acid selected from a group consisting of N-acetylalanine, N-acetylthreonine, N-acetylarginine and N-acetyltryptophan.

         20 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 13 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyltryptophan or N-acylalanine. 
     
     
         21 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 20 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyl-L-tryptophan or N-acyl-L-alanine. 
     
     
         22 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 13 , wherein the cosmetic composition is formulated into a cream, a lotion, a skin softener, an essence or a mist. 
     
     
         23 . A mask pack comprising the cosmetic composition according to  claim 13 . 
     
     
         24 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the N-acetylamino acid is one or more amino acid selected from a group consisting of N-acetylalanine, N-acetylthreonine, N-acetylarginine and N-acetyltryptophan. 
     
     
         25 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 24 , wherein the N-acetylamino acid is one or more amino acid selected from a group consisting of N-acetyl-L-alanine, N-acetyl-L-threonine, N-acetyl-L-arginine and N-acetyl-L-tryptophan. 
     
     
         26 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyltryptophan or N-acylalanine. 
     
     
         27 . The cosmetic composition according to  claim 26 , wherein the N-acylamino acid is N-acyl-L-tryptophan or N-acyl-L-alanine.
