Abstract
The invention relates to saRNA targeting a C/EBPα transcript and therapeutic compositions comprising said saRNA. Methods of using the therapeutic compositions are also provided.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of treating insulin resistance or obesity of a patient in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a saRNA targeting a C/EBPα transcript.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the LDL level in liver cells of said patient is reduced.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the triglyceride level in liver cells of said patient is reduced.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the body weight of said patient is reduced.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the liver size of said patient is reduced.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the expression of FAT/CD36, SREBP1, DGAT2, CETP, FASN, PPARγ-CoA1α, PPARγ-CoA1β, or MLXIPL is reduced.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the expression of LPL, LXD, ACACA, ACACB, APOC3, MTP, LDLR, PGC-1α, PGC-10, PPARγ, or PPARγ is increased.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the white adipose tissue of said patient is reduced.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the brown adipose tissue of said patient is activated.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the body fat of said patient is reduced.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the serum albumin level of said patient is increased.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the saRNA comprises an antisense strand, wherein the antisense strand comprises SEQ ID. No. 318, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12.
13 . The method of claim 1 , where the saRNA is administered with drugs that increase insulin sensitivity or treat type II diabetes mellitus, such as metformin, sulfonylurea, nonsulfonylurea secretagogues, a glucosidase inhibitors, thiazolidinediones, pioglitazone, rosiglitazone, glucagon-like peptide-I analog, and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors or a combination thereof.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
