Abstract

A method of encrypting a target media file that comprises using a processor of a client device associated with a sender for executing a code for: designating a target media file, and receiving from the sender a user selection indicative of an addressee automatically extracting at least one biometric feature of the addressee from at least one image associated with the addressee, using the at least one biometric feature to encrypt the target media file for creating an encrypted target media file, and forwarding an additional client device associated with addressee a message with access information to the encrypted target media file.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method of encrypting a target media file, comprising:
using a processor of a client device associated with a sender for executing a code for:
 designating a target media file,
 receiving a user selection indicative of an addressee;
automatically extracting at least one biometric feature of said addressee from at least one image associated with said addressee,
using said at least one biometric feature to encrypt said target media file for creating an encrypted target media file, and
forwarding at least one of said encrypted target media file and access information for accessing said encrypted target media file to an additional client device associated with said addressee.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one biometric feature comprises at least one facial feature of a face of said addressee.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one image is stored in a contact record of said addressee which is documented in at least one of a contact repository of said sender and a social network.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one image is extracted from a social network profile of said addressee.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one image is extracted from a stored media file selected from a media gallery by a user designating said target media file on said client device.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one biometric feature is extracted from at least one image tagged with metadata comprising an identifier of said addressee, said identifier is a member of a group consisting of a name, an email address, and a phone number.

7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein said target media file is encrypted to be decrypted by said at least one biometric feature and by at least one additional biometric feature extracted from stored media files depicting said user.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said designating comprises capturing said target media file using an image sensor of said client device.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said designating and said receiving are performed execution of a chat application on said processor and wherein said at least one of said encrypted target media file and access information for accessing said encrypted target media file is sent in an instant message during a chat session comprising a plurality of textual messages which are exchanged between said sender and said addressee.

10 . A system of encrypting a target media file, comprising:
a program store storing code; and a processor coupled to said program store for executing the stored code, the code comprising: designating a target media file, receiving a user selection indicative of an addressee, automatically extracting at least one biometric feature of said addressee from at least one image associated with said addressee, using said at least one biometric feature to encrypt said target media file for creating an encrypted target media file, and forwarding at least one of said encrypted target media file and access information for accessing said encrypted target media file to an additional client device associated with said addressee.

11 . A computer program product, comprising a non-transitory computer usable medium having a computer readable program code embodied therein, said computer readable program code adapted to be executed to implement the method described in claim 1 .

12 . A method of decrypting an image, comprising:
using a processor of a client device for executing a code for:
receiving, over a network, a message addressed to an addressee and an encrypted media file or access information for accessing said encrypted media file,
capturing a video imaging at least one body part of said addressee, automatically extracting at least one biometric feature from said video, using said at least one biometric feature to decrypt said media file, and
presenting, on a display of said client device, said decrypted media file to said addressee.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein a presentation of said decrypted media file on the display is performed only as long as one or more vitality signs of said addressee are captured.

14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein a presentation of said decrypted media file on the display is performed only as another biometric feature of the user which is different from the at least one biometric feature is detected.

15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said message is sent over an instant messaging platform.

16 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said presenting is disrupted when an iterative or continuous extraction of said at least one biometric feature from said video fails.

17 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said presenting is disrupted when at least one different biometric feature which is not said at least one biometric feature is detected in said video.

18 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said client device is a smartphone or a tablet and said video is captured using a frontal imager sensor of said smartphone or said tablet.
