Abstract

An adjustable bed system includes a first frame structure; a second frame structure disposed on and moveably coupled to the first frame structure; a back lifting assembly; a leg lifting assembly; and a plurality of fans coupled with platforms for operably providing air circulation in bed surrounding. The back lifting assembly comprises a back lifting bracket pivotally connected to the second frame structure, and a back lifting actuator pivotally connected between the back lifting bracket and the first frame structure for operably driving the back lifting bracket to pivotally move in an upward or downward rotating direction. The leg lifting assembly comprises a leg lifting bracket pivotally coupled to the first frame structure, and a leg lifting actuator pivotally connected between the leg lifting bracket and the second frame structure for operably driving the leg lifting bracket to pivotally move in an upward or downward rotating direction.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An adjustable bed system, comprising:
 a first frame structure ( 110 );   a second frame structure ( 120 ) disposed on and moveably coupled to the first frame structure ( 110 );   a back lifting assembly ( 130 ) comprising a back lifting bracket ( 135 ) pivotally connected to the second frame structure ( 120 ), and a back lifting actuator ( 132 ) pivotally connected between the back lifting bracket ( 135 ) and the first frame structure ( 110 ) for operably driving the back lifting bracket ( 135 ) to pivotally move in an upward rotating direction or a downward rotating direction relative to one of the first frame structure ( 110 ) and the second frame structure ( 120 );   a leg lifting assembly ( 140 ) comprising a leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) pivotally coupled to the first frame structure ( 110 ), and a leg lifting actuator ( 142 ) pivotally connected between the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) and the second frame structure ( 120 ) for operably driving the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) to pivotally move in an upward rotating direction or a downward rotating direction relative to the one of the first frame structure ( 110 ) and the second frame structure ( 120 );   a plurality of platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) coupled with the first frame structure ( 110 ), the second frame structure ( 120 ), the back lifting assembly ( 130 ) and the leg lifting assembly ( 140 ), such that positions of at least one or more of the plurality of platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) are adjustable in accordance with operations of the back lifting assembly ( 130 ) and the leg lifting assembly ( 140 ); and   a plurality of fans ( 170 ) coupled with the plurality of platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) and adapted for operably providing air circulation in surrounding of the adjustable bed system.   
     
     
         2 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 1 , wherein the first frame structure ( 110 ) comprises:
 two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) transversely spaced and longitudinally extended and being parallel to each other, each side rail ( 10   a ) or ( 10   b ) having an upper end and opposite, lower end;   an upper rail ( 10   c ) and a lower rail ( 10   d ) longitudinally spaced and transversely extended, two ends of the upper rail ( 10   c ) connected to the upper ends of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) and two ends of the lower rail ( 10   d ) connected to the lower ends of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) such that the upper rail ( 10   c ) and the lower rail ( 10   d ) are parallel to each other; and   a support member ( 15 ) connected to each of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) at a positon between the upper end and the lower end of said side rail ( 10   a ) or ( 10   b ).   
     
     
         3 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 2 , wherein the second frame structure ( 120 ) comprises:
 two side rails ( 20   a ) and ( 20   b ) transversely spaced and longitudinally extended and being parallel to each other, each side rail ( 20   a ) or ( 20   b ) having two spaced-apart, vertical posts ( 24 ) downwards extended into and moveably coupled to a respective one of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ); and   an upper rail ( 21 ), an intermediate rail ( 22 ) and a lower rail ( 23 ) connected to the two side rails ( 20   a ) and ( 20   b ) at an upper portion, an intermediate portion and a lower portion of the two side rails ( 20   a ) and ( 20   b ), respectively.   
     
     
         4 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 3 , wherein for each side rail ( 20   a ) or ( 20   b ) of the second frame structure ( 120 ), the two spaced-apart, vertical posts ( 24 ) are located respectively at an upper end portion and a lower end portion of said side rail ( 20   a ) or ( 20   b ). 
     
     
         5 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 4 , wherein the vertical post ( 24 ) located at the lower end portion of said side rail ( 20   a ) or ( 20   b ) is moveable in the respective one of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ) between the support member ( 15 ) and the lower end of the respective one of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ). 
     
     
         6 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 3 , wherein each vertical post ( 24 ) comprises a roller ( 25 ) attached onto its lower end, the roller ( 25 ) being received and moveable in one of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ). 
     
     
         7 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 6 , wherein each of the two side rails ( 10   a ) and ( 10   b ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ) is formed of a C-shape steel for receiving the rollers ( 25 ) of the two spaced-apart, vertical posts ( 24 ). 
     
     
         8 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 3 , wherein
 the back lifting bracket ( 135 ) comprises a middle bar ( 35 ) and a pair of swing arms ( 35   a ) and ( 35   b ), wherein the pair of swing arms ( 35   a ) and ( 35   b ) is transversely spaced and longitudinally extended, and rigidly connected to ends of the transversely extending middle bar ( 35 ), and each of the pair of swing arms ( 35   a ) and ( 35   b ) has a first end portion and an opposite, second end portion, wherein the first end portions of the pair of swing arms ( 35   a ) and ( 35   b ) are pivotally connected to the upper end portion of the two side rails ( 20   a ) and ( 20   b ) of the second frame structure ( 120 ), respectively; and   the back lifting actuator ( 132 ) comprises a motor member ( 32 ), an outer tube ( 32   a ) extending from the motor member ( 32 ), and an activation rod ( 32   b ) having a first end portion received in the outer tube ( 32   a ) and an opposite, second end portion, wherein the activation rod ( 32   b ) is engaged with the motor member ( 32 ) and configured to be telescopically movable relative to said outer tube ( 32   a ) according to a direction of motor rotation, wherein the motor member ( 32 ) is pivotally connected to the support member ( 15 ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ), and the second end portion of the activation rod ( 32   b ) pivotally connected to the middle bar ( 35 ) of the back lifting bracket ( 135 ), or wherein the motor member ( 32 ) is pivotally connected to the middle bar ( 35 ) of the back lifting bracket ( 135 ), and the second end portion of the activation rod ( 32   b ) pivotally connected to the support member ( 15 ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ).   
     
     
         9 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 8 , wherein
 the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) comprises a middle bar ( 45 ) and a pair of swing arms ( 45   a ) and ( 45   b ), wherein the pair of swing arms ( 45   a ) and ( 45   b ) is transversely spaced and longitudinally extended, and rigidly connected to ends of the transversely extending middle bar ( 45 ), and each of the pair of swing arms ( 45   a ) and ( 45   b ) has a first end portion and an opposite, second end portion, wherein the first end portions of the pair of swing arms ( 45   a ) and ( 45   b ) are disposed and moveable on the support member ( 15 ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ); and   the leg lifting actuator ( 142 ) comprises a motor member ( 42 ), an outer tube ( 42   a ) extending from the motor member ( 42 ), and an activation rod ( 42   b ) having a first end portion received in the outer tube ( 42   a ) and an opposite, second end portion, wherein the activation rod ( 42   b ) is engaged with the motor member ( 42 ) and configured to be telescopically movable relative to said outer tube ( 42   a ) according to a direction of motor rotation, wherein the motor member ( 42 ) is pivotally connected to the intermediate rail ( 22 ) of the second frame structure ( 120 ), and the second end portion of the activation rod ( 32   b ) pivotally connected to the middle bar ( 45 ) of the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ), or wherein the motor member ( 42 ) is pivotally connected to the middle bar ( 45 ) of the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ), and the second end portion of the activation rod ( 42   b ) pivotally connected to the intermediate rail ( 22 ) of the second frame structure ( 120 ).   
     
     
         10 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 9 , wherein the first end portion of each swing arm ( 45   a ) or ( 45   b ) of the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) is equipped with a leg lifting wheel ( 44 ) that is operably rotatable on the support member ( 15 ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ). 
     
     
         11 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 9 , wherein the plurality of platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) comprises
 a back platform ( 161 ) mounted on the back lifting bracket ( 135 ), such that the back platform ( 161 ) is rotatable around a lower side of the back platform ( 161 ) in a back platform forward direction or a back platform backward direction;   a seat platform ( 162 ) mounted on the two side rails ( 20   a ) and ( 20   b ) of the second frame structure ( 120 );   a thigh platform ( 163 ) mounted on the leg lifting bracket ( 145 ) with an upper side being hinged with a lower side of the seat platform ( 162 ) through a first hinge ( 165 ), such that the thigh platform ( 163 ) is rotatable around a rotating axis of the first hinge ( 165 ) in a thigh platform forward direction or a thigh platform backward direction; and   a leg platform ( 164 ) with an upper side of the leg platform ( 164 ) being hinged with a lower side of the thigh platform ( 163 ) through a second hinge ( 166 ), such that the leg platform ( 166 ) is rotatable around a rotating axis of the second hinge ( 166 ).   
     
     
         12 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 12 , wherein the back lifting assembly ( 130 ) further comprises a pair of back support tubes ( 51 ), each back support tubes ( 55 ) having a first end pivotally connected to the upper rail ( 10   c ) of the first frame structure ( 110 ), and an opposite, second end pivotally connected to the back platform ( 161 ). 
     
     
         13 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 12 , wherein the leg lifting assembly ( 140 ) further comprises a pair of leg support tubes ( 55 ), each leg support tubes ( 55 ) having a first end pivotally connected to the lower rail ( 23 ) of the second frame structure ( 120 ), and an opposite, second end pivotally connected to the leg platform ( 164 ). 
     
     
         14 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 1 , wherein one or more of the plurality of platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) have a plurality of openings, and wherein the plurality of fans ( 170 ) is mounted onto said one or more platforms ( 161 )-( 164 ) such that each of the plurality of openings accommodates a respective fan of the plurality of fans ( 170 ). 
     
     
         15 . The adjustable bed system of  claim 1 , further comprising a controller ( 180 ) configured to control operations of the back lifting actuator ( 132 ), the leg lifting actuator ( 142 ) and the plurality of fans ( 170 ), respectively.
