Abstract
Compositions for preventing or treating virus infections inhibit the biogenesis of cytoplasmic viral assembly compartment (cVAC). The preferred compounds are dihydroquinazolinones.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of preventing or treating a virus infection in vivo or in vitro, comprising: administering to a subject in need thereof, or contacting a cell with a therapeutically effective amount of a compound set forth in Formula IV:

R is selected from CN, C═CH 2 , C═CH, NO 2 , COOH, esters, or heterocycle (5 membered ring, or 6 membered ring with N, O, S);
