Abstract
An applicator device for the application of hydrophobic compositions to hydrophilic surfaces. An applicator device for the application of an emulsion composition to wetted teeth. An applicator tip with at least one external ridge, a plurality of internal ridges, and a plurality of internal channels between the plurality of internal ridges.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An applicator tip ( 30 ) comprising:
(a) at least one external ridge ( 31 ); (b) a plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ); and (c) a plurality of internal channels ( 33 ) between the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ), wherein at least a portion of a perimeter of the applicator tip ( 30 ) is free from the at least on external ridge ( 31 ).
2 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein the applicator tip ( 30 ) has a durometer rating of from about 45 A to about 75 A.
3 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein the application tip ( 30 ) is colored.
4 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are substantially straight.
5 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are curved.
6 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein a first portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are substantially straight and a second portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are curved.
7 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) comprises from 2 to about 20 internal ridges.
8 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein the at least one external ridge ( 31 ) comprises a plateau.
9 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 1 , wherein the applicator tip ( 30 ) is made from an elastomer.
10 . The applicator tip ( 30 ) of claim 9 , wherein the elastomer is a thermoplastic elastomer, a styrenic, a copolyester, a polyurethane, a polyamide, a polyolefin blend, a polyolefin alloy, a reactor TPO, a polyolefin plastomer, a polyolefin elastomer, and/or combinations thereof.
11 . An applicator ( 10 ) comprising:
(a) an applicator tip ( 30 ), the applicator tip ( 30 ) comprising:
(i) at least one external ridge ( 31 );
(ii) a plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ); and
(iii) a plurality of internal channels ( 33 ) between the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ); and
(b) an applicator handle ( 20 ), wherein at least a portion of a perimeter of the applicator tip ( 30 ) is free from the at least one external ridge ( 31 ).
12 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein the applicator tip ( 30 ) has a durometer rating of from about 45 A to about 75 A.
13 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein the application tip ( 30 ) is colored
14 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein a portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are substantially straight.
15 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein a portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are curved.
16 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein a first portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are substantially straight and a second portion of the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) are curved.
17 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of internal ridges ( 32 ) comprises from 2 to about 20 internal ridges.
18 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 1 , wherein the at least one external ridge ( 32 ) comprises a plateau.
19 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 11 , wherein the applicator ( 30 ) is made from an elastomer.
20 . The applicator ( 10 ) of claim 19 , wherein the elastomer is a thermoplastic elastomer, a styrenic, a copolyester, a polyurethane, a polyamide, a polyolefin blend, a polyolefin alloy, a reactor TPO, a polyolefin plastomer, a polyolefin elastomer, and/or combinations thereof.Cited by (0)
