Abstract
Introduced are methods and systems for an adjustable bed device configured to: gather biological signals associated with multiple users, such as heart rate, respiration rate, or temperature; analyze the gathered human biological signals; and heat or cool a bed based on the analysis.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
. A system for changing a temperature of a portion of a bed device, comprising:
at least one sensor that is a part of the bed device, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to detect a biological signal of a user of the bed device; a temperature control device operatively coupled to the portion of the bed device, wherein the temperature control device is configured to change the temperature of the portion of the bed device; and a processor communicatively coupled to the sensor and the temperature control device, wherein the processor is configured to (i) determine a time to wake up the user based on the detected biological signal of the user and (ii) modify an operation of the temperature control device based on the determined time to wake up the user.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the modified operation of the temperature control device heats or cools the portion of the bed device.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the modifying the operation of the temperature control device comprises turning on or turning off the temperature control device.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to modify the operation of the temperature control device based on at least one environmental property associated with the bed device.
. The system of claim 4 , wherein the at least one environmental property is selected from the group consisting of humidity, light, temperature, and sound.
. The system of claim 4 , further comprising at least one environment sensor operatively coupled to the processor and configured to obtain the at least one environmental property.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to determine the time to wake up the user based on a first biological signal and a second biological signal of the user, wherein the first biological and the second biological signal are different types of biological signals of the user.
. The system of claim 7 , wherein the first biological signal is a temperature of the user.
. The system of claim 8 , wherein the second biological signal is a heart signal of the user.
. The system of claim 8 , wherein the second biological signal is a breathing signal of the user.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the temperature control device is positioned in the portion of the bed device.
. The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least the portion of the temperature control device comprises a material that can be heated or cooled, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting of air, water, argon, and a synthetic material.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the temperature control device is operatively coupled to a plurality of zones of the portion of the bed device, and wherein the processor is further configured to independently regulate a temperature of each zone of the plurality of zones by the temperature control device.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the bed device comprises a plurality of layers comprising (i) a first layer comprising the at least one sensor, (ii) a second layer operatively coupled to the temperature control device, and (iii) a third layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the bed device is a mattress.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the bed device is a mattress pad.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to determine the time to wake up the user while the user is asleep on top of the portion of the bed device.
. The system of claim 17 , wherein the processor is configured to determine that the user is asleep based on the detected biological signal of the user.
. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to modify an operation of an additional appliance associated with the user based on the determined time to wake up the user.
. The system of claim 19 , wherein the additional appliance is selected from the group consisting of a light, a coffee machine, and a humidifier.Cited by (0)
