Abstract
A novel transgenic corn event designated 5307, is disclosed. The invention relates to DNA sequences of the recombinant constructs inserted into the corn genome and of genomic sequences flanking the insertion site that resulted in the 5307 event. The invention further relates to assays for detecting the presence of the DNA sequences of event 5307, to corn plants and corn seeds comprising the genotype of and to methods for producing a corn plant by crossing a corn plant comprising the event 5307 genotype with itself or another corn variety.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A nucleic acid molecule comprising a maize chromosomal target site located on chromosome 5 between a umc1475 molecular marker and a uaz190 molecular, wherein the target site comprises a heterologous nucleic acid.
2 . A nucleic acid molecule comprising maize chromosomal target site located on chromosome 5 between nucleotide 1 and nucleotide 161,752 of SEQ ID NO: 103, wherein the target site comprises a heterologous nucleic acid.
3 . The nucleic acid molecule according to claim 2 , wherein said target site is located between nucleotides 75,908 and 75,946 of SEQ ID NO: 103.
4 . The nucleic acid molecule according to claim 2 , wherein said target site is flanked 5′ by nucleotides 55,980 to 75,908 of SEQ ID NO: 103 and flanked 3′ by nucleotides 75,946 to 95,946 of SEQ ID NO: 103.
5 . A maize plant comprising the nucleic acid molecule according to claim 1 .
6 . A maize plant comprising the nucleic acid molecule according to claim 2 .
7 . A maize seed comprising the nucleic acid molecule according to claim 1 .
8 . A maize seed comprising the nucleic acid molecule according to claim 2 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
