System for information display
Abstract
Apparatus and methods for generating, displaying, and updating information, such as aggregated information or content, provide engagement techniques, delivering new experiences to an audience, viewer, visitor, customer, etc. Applications prepare information, such as pricing, to present or display on display devices, signage, etc. A platform manages the display devices and the content on the display devices to engage the audience. The display devices are low-powered, may be ePaper-based, and have minimum circuitry and reduced resource requirements. Information and control signals may be transferred to, and power and ground established with, the display devices via transient electrical and frictional mechanisms. Changes made in information presented may depend on the needs or relevancy to the audience or the needs or desires of a content provider, business, organization, or presenter, etc. Updates or format/layout changes for presenting the content may be based on the efficacy of content previously presented.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A computer-implemented method for engaging an audience, comprising:
establishing a relationship between a first product or a first service and a second product or a second service for engaging an audience having a first identity; transferring content from a first content source about the first product or the first service and the second product or the second service for display by an engagement device in an engagement mode, wherein the content includes social media-related information; presenting a visual indication on the engagement device that additional information about the first product or the first service and second product or the second service is available; preparing identification information about the first product or the first service and the second product or the second service for transmission to the engagement device in one or more announcements; enabling retrieval from a second content source, by a computing system of another audience having a second identity and an application for communicating with the second content source, the additional information and details about the first product or the first service and the second product or the second service, based on the one or more announcements or the first or second identities; and enabling information from audience interaction with the engagement device to be collected and used as an input for machine learning techniques for generating output helpful for establishing a relationship amongst the first product or first service and other products or other services, or amongst the second product or second service and the other products or the other services, for further engagement of the audience having the first identity.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the enabling retrieval comprises enabling retrieval by a smartphone that is the computing system.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transferring comprises transferring for display by digital signage that is the engagement device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first content source and the second content source are the same content source.
5 . A computer-implemented method of user engagement, comprising:
storing first data elements identified as static or dynamic and first layout information based on characteristics of a first user engagement device; creating a first package using the first data elements and/or the first layout information; assigning the first package to the first user engagement device as part of a first engagement; generating the first engagement; presenting the first engagement on the first user engagement device according to the first layout information for the first user engagement device that is part of the first package; collecting properties and associated activity data related to the first engagement based on activity or input to the first user engagement device; using machine learning techniques to prepare metrics from the activity data or the input to determine efficacy of the first engagement; creating a second package based on the metrics using second data elements and/or second layout information based on characteristics of the first user engagement device, wherein all of or a portion of the second data elements may be the same as or different from the first data elements, and all of or a portion of the second layout information may be the same as or different from the first layout information; assigning the second package to a second user engagement device as part of a second engagement; generating the second engagement; and presenting the second engagement on the second user engagement device.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first user engagement device and the second user engagement device are the same.
7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the generating the first engagement comprises:
updating the first data elements identified as dynamic with new data elements identified as dynamic; and rendering the first package for the first user engagement device with the first data elements identified as static and with the new data elements identified as dynamic according to the first layout information of the first user engagement device for generating the first engagement.
8 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the generating second engagement comprises:
updating the second data elements identified as being dynamic with new data elements identified as dynamic; and rendering the second package for the second user engagement device with second data elements identified as static and with the new data elements identified as dynamic according to the second layout information of the second user engagement device for generating the second engagement.
9 . A computer-implemented method for presenting aggregated information to engage an audience, comprising:
collecting data elements from a plurality of content sources; generating a package from the collected data elements; predicting changes to the collected data elements using a first set of machine learning techniques; accounting for the predicted changes and grouping the collected data elements using a second set of machine learning techniques to propose changes to the package or to plan a new package; assigning the changed package or the new package to one or more display devices; and rendering the changed package or the new package on the one or more display devices.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the data elements comprise audience preference, predefined messages, social media, inventory level, or supply chain information.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the rendering the changed package or the new package comprises rendering multimedia elements for display on the one or more display devices.
12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the changed package or the new package comprise information about data for display on the one or more display devices.
13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the changed package or the new package comprise information about the origin of data and design information that indicates where the data is to be placed on the one or more display devices.Cited by (0)
