Abstract
The invention provides improved agents and methods for treatment of diseases associated with synucleinopathic diseases, including Lewy bodies of alpha-synuclein in the brain of a patient. Such methods entail administering agents that induce a beneficial immunogenic response against the Lewy body. The methods are particularly useful prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 32 . (canceled)
33 . A method of obtaining a human antibody binding to an epitope within a defined segment of alpha synuclein comprising
screening a DNA library obtained from B cells of a human for expression of antibodies binding to human alpha synuclein and further screening the antibodies against deletion mutants of human alpha synuclein to identify an antibody binding within residues 1-10 or 110-130 of alpha synuclein.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the antibody binds within residues 1-10 of alpha synuclein.
35 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the antibody binds within residues 110-130 of alpha synuclein.
36 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the antibody binds within residues 118-126 of alpha synuclein.
37 . The method of claim 33 , further comprising transforming nucleic acids encoding heavy and light of the antibody into a host cell and expressing the antibody.
38 . The method of claim 37 , wherein the host cell is a CHO cell.
39 . The method of claim 37 , further comprising purifying the antibody from a culture of the host cell.
40 . The method of claim 37 , further comprising incorporating the antibody into a pharmaceutical composition.Cited by (0)
