Multi-piece device for moving and storing potted plants and other objects having a base

Abstract

A device for securely transporting multiple potted plants or other objects having a base, wherein said device comprises at least one piece that has at least one adjustable opening that allows the base of a plant holder or other object to sit securely within the device.

1 . A device for securely transporting multiple objects, each object having a base, said device comprising;
 a foundation;   said foundation having four sides;   said foundation having foldable portions that fold below said foundation;   said foundation having multiple openings;   each of said openings constructed so that an object having a base fits within an opening of said openings of said foundation;   each of said openings having an adjustable feature or made of different sizes or shapes so that various bases of objects sit securely within each of said openings;   each of said openings comprised of a fixed hole surrounded by multiple adjustable slits which when depressed increase a size of said fixed hole;   said device being free standing, able to stand on its own;   said device having a base;   said device comprised of a fiber based material or a polyethylene material;   said device comprising locking parts that have both male and female parts that when said device is locked it is free standing and receives said bases of objects;   said device constructed so that said device is lifted and transported with said objects.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1  wherein said device is placed in a container that is not part of said device. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 1  wherein said locking parts form a locking mechanism on side of said device. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 1  wherein said locking parts form a locking mechanism on corners of said device. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 1  wherein said device further comprises handles. 
     
     
         6 . A device for securely transporting multiple potted plants, each potted plant having a base, said device comprising:
 one or more pieces;   each of said pieces having flaps on at least two sides;   each of said flaps being a foldable portion that ends at a free edge;   said device having at least two openings;   each of said openings constructed so that a plant holder having a base sits securely within said opening;   each of said openings having an adjustable feature or made of different sizes or shapes so that various bases of plant holders sit securely within each of said openings;   each of said openings comprised of a fixed hole surrounded by multiple adjustable slits which when depressed increase a size of said fixed hole;   said device is placed in a container that is not part of said device   said device having locking parts.   
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 6  wherein said locking parts are located on one or more of said flaps.
