Hand held doser
Abstract
The invention provides a hand held dispenser which has an upper enclosure for holding material to be dispensed, the upper enclosure having an open end. The invention has a lower dispenser which is connected to the upper enclosure and which has a dispensing opening which is selectively sealed by a valve. The valve has a seal end and a valve stem end, the valve stem end operatively engaged to an elastic button. When the button is depressed, the valve seal end is pushed out of the dispensing opening, to allow material to be dispensed from the hand held dispenser and when the button is released, it elastically returns to an undepressed position, closing the dispensing opening.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 19 . (canceled)
20 . A hand held dispenser comprising:
an upper enclosure for holding material to be dispensed, the upper enclosure having an open end; a lower dispenser which is connected to the upper enclosure and which has a first chamber that has an open end that is aligned with the open end of the upper enclosure and a second chamber below the first chamber that has a dispensing opening that is perpendicular to the open end of the upper enclosure and the open end of the first chamber, the dispensing opening being selectively sealed by a valve; the valve having a seal end and a valve stem end, the valve stem end operatively engaged to an elastic button, the valve being arranged perpendicular to the open end of the upper enclosure and the open end of the first chamber; whereby when the button is depressed, the valve seal end is pushed out of the dispensing opening to allow material to flow vertically downward by gravity from the upper enclosure to the first chamber and to the second chamber and then horizontally out of the second chamber through the dispensing opening and, when the button is released, the button elastically returns to an undepressed position, closing the dispensing opening.
21 . The hand held dispenser of claim 20 wherein the upper enclosure is cylindrical.
22 . The hand held dispenser of claim 21 wherein a user can wrap his or her hand around the cylinder.
23 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the first chamber and second chamber each have an axis and the axes of the first and second chamber are perpendicular to each other.
24 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the upper enclosure has a first inner diameter and the first chamber has a second inner diameter and the first and second inner diameters are approximately the same.
25 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the material to be dispensed is a liquid.
26 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the dispensing opening, the valve and the button are arranged along an axis.
27 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the upper enclosure and the lower dispenser are threadably connected.
28 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the upper enclosure and the lower dispenser are snap fit together.
29 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the material to be dispensed is selected from the group consisting of topical products, chemical products, treatment products, stain products, paint products, spot remover products and animal tick and flea products.
30 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the upper enclosure is made from a material selected from the group consisting of polypropylene (PP), high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), rubber, silicone, and urethane.
31 . The hand held dispenser of claim 1 wherein the elastic button is made thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
