Shaving Device

Abstract

A shaving device comprising a head assembly including a support member having at least one support member magnet and a blade cartridge having at least one face with at least one razor blade and configured to be rotatably coupled to the support member about a pivot axis. The blade cartridge includes at least one blade cartridge magnet having a pole aligned with a pole of the support member magnet to generate a magnetic force that urges the blade cartridge about the pivot axis towards an initial starting position (ISP), wherein the blade cartridge is further configured to rotate about the pivot axis away from the ISP upon application of an external force sufficient to overcome the magnetic force between the support member magnet and the blade cartridge magnet.

         31 . A shaving device comprising:
 a blade cartridge comprising:
 a housing having at least a first shaving side including a front edge region, an aft edge region, a first lateral edge region, and a second lateral edge region; 
 an intermediate strip; 
 a first set of one or more razor blades mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the front edge region; and 
 a second set of one or more razor blades mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the aft edge region. 
   
     
     
         32 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the blade cartridge further comprises one or more aft shaving aids located in at least a portion of the aft edge region, wherein the second set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the one or more aft shaving aids. 
     
     
         33 . The shaving device of  claim 32 , wherein the one or more aft shaving aids includes at least one of a plurality of raised projections, a lubricant, a conditioner, a moisturizer, a soap, and a gel. 
     
     
         34 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the blade cartridge further comprising one or more forward shaving aids located in at least a portion of the front edge region, wherein the second set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the one or more forward shaving aids. 
     
     
         35 . The shaving device of  claim 34 , wherein the one or more forward shaving aids includes at least one of a plurality of raised projections, a lubricant, a conditioner, a moisturizer, a soap, and a gel. 
     
     
         36 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the blade cartridge further comprises:
 one or more forward shaving aids located in at least a portion of the front edge region; and   one or more aft shaving aids located in at least a portion of the aft edge region;   wherein the first set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the one or more forward shaving aids; and   wherein the second set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the intermediate strip and the one or more aft shaving aids.

The shaving device of  claim 36 , wherein the one or more forward shaving aids includes at least one of a plurality of raised projections, a lubricant, a conditioner, a moisturizer, a soap, and a gel and wherein the one or more aft shaving aids includes at least one of a plurality of raised projections, a lubricant, a conditioner, a moisturizer, a soap, and a gel. 
     
     
         38 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the first set of one or more razor blades includes a plurality of razor blades. 
     
     
         39 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the second set of one or more razor blades includes a plurality of razor blades. 
     
     
         40 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the first set of one or more razor blades and the second set of one or more razor blades are both configured to cut hair in a first shaving stroke direction. 
     
     
         41 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the first set of one or more razor blades are configured to cut hair in a first shaving stroke direction and the second set of one or more razor blades are configured to cut hair in a second shaving stroke direction. 
     
     
         42 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the intermediate strip includes at least one of a lubricant, a conditioner, a moisturizer, a soap, and a gel. 
     
     
         43 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the blade cartridge includes one or more wash-out apertures disposed along one or more edge faces of the blade cartridge. 
     
     
         44 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , wherein the housing includes a second shaving side including at least one razor blade. 
     
     
         45 . The shaving device of  claim 44 , wherein the blade cartridge is configured to rotate about a pivot axis to select the first shaving side and the second shaving side. 
     
     
         46 . The shaving device of  claim 44 , wherein the second shaving side comprises:
 a second shaving side front edge region, a second shaving side aft edge region, and two oppositely arranged lateral edge regions;   a second shaving side intermediate strip;   a third set of one or more razor blades mounted to the housing between the second shaving side intermediate strip and the second shaving side front edge region; and   a fourth set of one or more razor blades mounted to the housing between the second shaving side intermediate strip and the second shaving side aft edge region.   
     
     
         47 . The shaving device of  claim 46 , wherein the second shaving side further comprises one or more second shaving side aft shaving aids located in at least a portion of the second shaving side aft edge region, wherein the fourth set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the second shaving side intermediate strip and the one or more second shaving side aft shaving aids. 
     
     
         48 . The shaving device of  claim 46 , wherein the second shaving side further comprises one or more second shaving side forward shaving aids located in at least a portion of the second shaving side front edge region, wherein the third set of one or more razor blades is mounted to the housing between the second shaving side intermediate strip and the one or more second shaving side forward shaving aids. 
     
     
         49 . The shaving device of  claim 44 , wherein the blade cartridge includes one or more wash-out apertures disposed along one or more edge faces of the blade cartridge. 
     
     
         50 . The shaving device of  claim 31 , further comprising a handle, a blade cartridge support member, an annular magnet, and a central magnet, wherein the blade cartridge is pivotally coupled to the blade cartridge support member and wherein the central magnet is configured to be at least partially pass through a central region of the annular magnet, the annular magnet and the central magnet configured to generate a repulsive magnetic force to removably couple the blade cartridge support member and the handle.
