Abstract
A storage solution that provides substantial advantages over existing storage solutions. The storage solution includes a corrosion inhibition system that provides or facilitates free progression or dispersion of volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) molecules in a chamber or cavity formed or enveloped in the storage solution.

1 . A case for storing an article having a ferrous or non-ferrous material that is vulnerable to corrosion or oxidation, the case comprising:
a first body portion; a second body portion that is attachable to the first body portion to form a storage chamber when in a closed configuration; and a corrosion inhibition system that is installable in at least one of the first body portion and second body portion, wherein the corrosion inhibition system comprises
a plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts, and
a pad having a multidimensional arrangement of receptacles arranged to receive and hold the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts.
2 . The case in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts comprise at least one of:
a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) insert; a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) compound; and, a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) disk.
3 . The case in claim 1 , wherein the corrosion inhibition system has a geometry arranged to allow free progression or dispersion of volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) molecules in the storage chamber.
4 . The case in claim 1 , wherein the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles comprises at least one of:
a plurality of rows of receptacles and a plurality of columns of receptacle; and a random arrangement of receptacles.
5 . The case in claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts comprises a material that is the same as a material contained in the pad.
6 . The case in claim 1 , wherein the corrosion inhibition system comprises a liner pad.
7 . The case in claim 7 , wherein the liner pad is installable between an inner wall of the first body portion and said pad.
8 . The case in claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts has a hexagon shape or an oval shape.
9 . The case in claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts has a shape or size that matches a shape or size of a receptacle in the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles.
10 . The case in claim 9 , wherein said at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts seamlessly fits in said receptacle in the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles.
11 . A corrosion inhibition system for storing an article having a ferrous or non-ferrous material that is vulnerable to corrosion or oxidation, the system comprising:
a plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts; and, at least one pad having a multidimensional arrangement of receptacles arranged to receive and hold the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts.
12 . The system in claim 11 , wherein the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts comprise at least one of:
a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) insert; a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) compound; and, a volatile corrosion inhibition (VCI) disk.
13 . The system in claim 11 , wherein the corrosion inhibition system has a geometry arranged to allow free progression or dispersion of volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) molecules in a storage chamber.
14 . The system in claim 11 , wherein the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles comprises a plurality of rows of receptacles and a plurality of columns of receptacle.
15 . The system in claim 11 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts comprises a material that is the same as a material contained in said at least one pad.
16 . The system in claim 11 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts comprises a foam material.
17 . The system in claim 11 , further comprising a liner pad, wherein the liner pad is installable between an inner wall of a first body portion of a case and said at least one pad.
18 . The system in claim 11 , wherein at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts has a shape or size that matches a shape or size of a receptacle in the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles.
19 . The system in claim 11 , wherein said at least one of the plurality of corrosion inhibition inserts seamlessly fits in said receptacle in the multidimensional arrangement of receptacles.
20 . A case for storing an article having a ferrous or non-ferrous material that is vulnerable to corrosion or oxidation, the case comprising:
