Abstract
Described herein is a method of treating a disorder, the method comprising: administering to a subject in need thereof a composition that contains a population of somatic stem cells that are 0.3-6.0 micrometers in size and CD9+, CD349+, CD133−, CD90−, CD34−, SSEA1+, SSEA4+, CD13+, or Stro1+, wherein the disorder is hair loss, osteoporosis, or a damaged tissue.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of treating a disorder, the method comprising:
administering to a subject in need thereof a composition that contains a population of somatic stem cells that are less than 6.0 micrometers in size and CD9+, CD349+, CD133−, CD90−, CD34−, SSEA1+, SSEA4+, CD13+, or Stro1+; wherein the disorder is hair loss, osteoporosis, or a damaged tissue.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the population of somatic stem cells are CD9+, CD349+, and CD133−.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the population of somatic stem cells are obtained by a procedure including:
incubating a bodily fluid sample with EDTA in a container until the sample is separated into an upper layer and a lower layer; and collecting the upper layer, wherein the upper layer contains the population of somatic stem cells.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the administering step is performed by injecting the composition to the subject intravenously.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the composition contains 1×10 6 ˜10 11 of the somatic stem cells.
6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the bodily fluid sample is a human sample.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the bodily fluid sample is obtained from the subject.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the bodily fluid sample is a blood or bone marrow sample.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the hair loss is male pattern baldness or alopecia areata.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the damaged tissue is a wound.Cited by (0)
