Abstract

Systems and methods for providing secure communications in an open network are provided. One method can comprise storing first information associated with a user device and a first network device. A secure connection between the user device and a second network can be established.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method comprising:
broadcasting, by a network device, a first network identifier of a first network; establishing, based on the first network identifier, a first communication session between a user device and the network device via the first network; determining, via the first communication session, a device identifier associated with the user device; determining, based on the device identifier, network information of a second network; broadcasting, by the network device, based on the network information, a second network identifier of the second network; and establishing, based on the second network identifier, a second communication session between the user device and the network device via the second network.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first communication session is established without a security parameter.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first network comprises a public network, and wherein the second network comprises a private network.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the device identifier comprises at least one of a media access control (MAC) address or an Internet protocol (IP) address.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the network information comprises at least one of a service set identifier (SSID), a password, an encryption, an Internet protocol (IP) address, or an address restriction.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by a remote computing device, the first network identifier.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising obtaining, by a remote computing device, the first network identifier from a gateway.

         8 . A method comprising:
establishing a first communication session between a user device and a network device via a first network; determining a network identifier corresponding to a second network associated with the user device; broadcasting, by the network device, the network identifier; and establishing, based on the network identifier, a second communication session between the user device and the network device via the second network.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein establishing the first communication session comprises establishing the first communication session without a security parameter.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first network comprises a public network, and wherein the second network comprises a private network.

11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising receiving at least one of a media access control (MAC) address or an Internet protocol (IP) address associated with the second network.

12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising associating a subscriber with the user device.

13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein establishing the second communication session comprises establishing the second communication session based on a security parameter comprising at least one of a password, an encryption, or an address restriction.

14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the network identifier comprises a service set identifier (SSID).

15 . The method of claim 8 , wherein establishing the second communication session via the second network comprises establishing the second communication session based on at least one security parameter associated with the first network.

16 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising receiving, by the network device and from the user device, at least one security parameter, wherein the second communication session is established based on the received at least one security parameter.

         17 . A method comprising:
establishing, based on a first service set identifier (SSID), a communication session between a user device and a network device via a first network; determining, based on a device identifier associated with the user device, a second SSID associated with a second network; broadcasting, by the network device, the second SSID; and establishing, based on a security parameter associated with the device identifier, a secure communication session between the user device and the network device via the second network.

18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the device identifier comprises at least one of a media access control (MAC) address and an Internet protocol (IP) address.

19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the security parameter comprises at least one of a password, an encryption, and an address restriction.

20 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising receiving, by the network device and from the user device, the security parameter.

21 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising determining, based on the device identifier, the security parameter.

22 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising associating, based on the device identifier, a subscriber with the user device.

23 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the first network is a public network and the second network is a private network.

24 . The method of claim 17 , wherein establishing the communication session comprises establishing the communication session without the security parameter or another security parameter.
